YouTube has banned One America News Network (OANN) from uploading new videos and livestreaming for one week, after the Trump-friendly media outlet promoted a fake cure for COVID-19.

Promoting a “fake cure” for a fatal illness gets you a one-week ban?

What gets you a two-week ban?

Trump leaving will be a proven cure for COVID.

Promoting two fake cures, I think.

Let’s see if they try that after YouTube reinstates their account.

Have you noticed how Twitter, Facebook, and now Google have suddenly started putting notices and bans on Trump and the trumpanzees’ crap? They’ve been saying this kind of stuff for years, fomenting violence, lying, etc., but that was ok. Now in about the last three weeks they’ve started cracking down.
What changed?

A one week ban by YouTube is akin to a Susan Collins’ concerned furrowed brow.

Parler is supposed to exist so “conservatives” can “speak freely.”
So this is a travesty. Let them speak freely! Ban the owners of Parler! Probably a bunch of RINOs anyway, or secret demonrats. We can say what we want!

But where are all the True American Patriots™ gonna go now that they’re banned on their own platform?

I think trump is a RINO. It’s my humble opinion he used the GOP as a means to an end seeing how transactional he is. In the past he was a Democrat and a Clinton supporter… as long as he could make a dollar or two out of the deal. I think he ran in 2016 to “burnish the brand”. Then he discovered that being POTUS put him beyond the reach of the law.

YouTube “Community Guidelines” strikes, which is what this apparently is, follow a documented procedure.

First, there’s a warning. Then, “strike one” is a one-week suspension of ability to post content. Do the same thing again within 90 days, and that’s “strike two”, which is indeed a two-week suspension.

Three strikes in 90 days means your channel and all its content is deleted permanently.

Can you start over?

The very end of the policy page I linked above states:

YouTube also reserves the right to restrict a creator’s ability to create content at its discretion. If your account has been restricted from YouTube or from using any YouTube features, you’re prohibited from using another channel to get around these restrictions on YouTube. This applies for as long as the restriction remains active on your account. Violation of this restriction is considered circumvention under our Terms of Service, and may result in termination of your account.

I said the other day that I think they’ll ban him from Twitter once he’s no longer president. Honestly, I think he’s going to get banned from a bunch of social media platforms then. The only reason they allow him to stay is because he’s president.

Trump and friends are now all looooosers!

No, they allowed him to stay because he’s making them money, even though he and his followers were violating all their rules and even decent morality. But they didn’t have to worry about any sanctions for allowing his crap. Now, they have to worry that a new sheriff’s in town, one who may not be amenable to their violating the public trust. So they’re trying to clean up their act.

Cue the outrage about censorship.

The part of the cult that follows OANN is oblivious to its funding and sources from Russian intelligence. They are happy tools.

One week. Better than nothing but I guess that racist ad revenue is just too sweet to punish them anymore.

So, just lie slowly. Then, every 90 days, start over.

Possibilities:
A --Biden won and they’re no longer scared of tRump threats or his supporters.
B --Fear of regulation under a new administration
C --They got their balls back
D --All of the above.
