You’re Doing Great, Elon! Good Job, Buddy!

If they are lured back it should come with a massive pay increase and golden parachute deal.

So many Twitter Questions

  • wonder if Musk really took one of those “beatings will continue until morale improves”
    jokes as a good idea?

  • wonder why he thinks this “support me or I will wreck you” approach will help him to get people to trust him with more of their vital information & direct access to their finances?

  • wonder … after the sudden, huge and poorly planned slashing of the workforce - how vulnerable is the Twitter system to hacking / ransomware, general virtual vandalism?

This was the guy who at SpaceX as “chief engineer” got rocket boosters to land back on their pads. Now he reveals himself as a rank amateur bizness dude.

Elon Musk, called a genius because he made a lot of money, has demonstrated conclusively that when he steps outside his narrow band of competencies, he’s not a real bright person. Especially if there are actual humans outside his little set of competencies. Humans are just so messy to deal with, don’t ya know.

There are a lot of amazingly stupid folk in the world willing to throw cash at trump for no return.

Probably not very vulnerable. The workers Musk fired were handling things like content moderation and advertising. It didn’t sound like he was firing the techies that keep the infrastructure running.

The Tesla CEO also threatened a “thermonuclear name and shame” of advertisers who dare to pull out of Twitter.

Someone really needs to stop this crazed anti-capitalist who’s trying to arrest the invisible hand of the free markets!

Suspect we will find out soon.

“he’s certainly raised more under the RNC than we’ve spent on these bills.”

What the fuck does that even mean?

Hey good people! Please, if you have not voted yet, make sure you do that tomorrow. Rest assured that this crazy person will be voting to make your life worse. You will be better off making his vote irrelevant.

In accountant speak, he’s brought in more than they’ve spent on him.

I think in the run up to the 2020 election, there were a lot of noodniks that drove around in their pickup trucks with flags and stuff all over the place.

I guess, with gas prices where they are, there aren’t as many this election.

I remember the good old days when Democrats only planned to get more votes – now they have to get more votes, and prove to the entire delusional wing of the asylum that they got more votes. Yay.

He’s the head of a cult. A genuine cult. If he declares his candidacy he’s a lock to get the nomination. The GOP cannot stop him. The law can’t or won’t stop him. Depending on a great many factors in '24 he may well win office again. Stoking fear, anger, paranoia and hatred is a winning strategy in today’s politics, and Democrats understandably will not stoop to those tactics. Touting competence, fairness and policy successes is quite literally for losers. That’s sad, but it’s reality. It’s the world we live in right now. And Trump plays the game better than anyone. His loss in '20 was an anomaly, probably due more to ineptitude regarding COVID than anything else. He doesn’t face that headwind this time. I predict if he runs he wins. And as a nation we’ll go through an ugly transformation that will haunt all of us for generations.

Thing is: people like this guy complain that they cannot afford groceries while they drive around in a $45k pickup that gets 10 MPG and festooned with a few hundred dollars worth of flags.

Irony is dead.

I believe the translation is “We splashed the Trump name all over our RNC fundraising, and raked in more cash doing that than we spent on his legal bills.”

It’s giving him notice that they can’t keep using his name in RNC fundraising once he declares a 2024 run. They have to stay neutral in the primary, so they’re cutting off the funding. I don’t think it has anything to do with trying to stop him from running, which some folks have suggested.
