That’s because it probably was - a destroyer or other military vessel, that is. My parents used to go on cruises on Holland America ships. Many of the older vessels had been around since the early 1920’s and 1930’s, first as cargo ships, then as troop carriers, then immigrant ships (after WWII - my parents came over on one of them) and finally as cruise ships.

The Puttshack indoor golf arcade in Denver I visited last summer with the family has gender neutral restrooms. All locking stalls with common handwash area. I thought it was a great idea and layout. My very conservative Polish son-in-law declined to use them during the couple hours we were there. And he had several beers during the golf games. I did not feel sorry for him.

I don’t understand why TFG hasn’t already signed the ethics and transparency agreements. Is there some enforcement mechanism that is not obvious?
All he has to do is sign them, proclaim that just like his first administration, his second will be the most ethical and transparent of any administration ever, and then go on about his business. It’s not as if ethical guidelines have ever been an issue for him. And when people start asking about the funding of the transition, he can promise it in 2 weeks and the whole issue will go away. He isn’t held to the same standards as other people. How many times must he demonstrate it before it is just accepted as fact?
I’m also confused why the WaPo is concerned about the way his health picks will function in an emergency. They won’t. If ignoring the problem doesn’t work, the first line of business will be to blame the Biden administration, the second line will be to advise that people do something ridiculously dangerous and ineffective to treat or avoid the problem, and then have him do a series of press conferences where he informs us that the problem will go away and that we should just ignore the man behind the curtain.
I have a conservative friend who is adamant that the free market is the answer to food safety. According to her the market will correct food safety issues by having the perpetrator go out of business and all will be well. No word on how we will know who the perpetrator is, or how many people will die before the market correction happens.

I deal with serious chronic pain. Weed, as much as I loved it, does not work on the two vertibrae crushing my sciatic nerve when I try to stand or walk a few steps. Mushrooms divert attention but don’t work either. Now poppy extracts do work and ol RFKjr ought not be upset with that.
