I had such high hopes that we were going to be able to beat back the GOP once more, but then, last night happened, and I realized all is lost.
Harris was wearing a brown suit.
Did we learn nothing from Obama’s disastrous campaigns? Hell, now even I’m thinking I’ll have to vote for Trump.

I am waiting for the David Ignatius column responding to his earlier comment on Morning Joe that VP Harris is a good person but “She just isn’t catching fire”. I suppose I shouldn’t hold my breath.

I know I shouldn’t be stunned - but on PBS NewsHour last night after Biden’s speech when it was David Brooks turn to speak - he said (paraphrasing) I love Joe Biden but that speech shows why he should not be the candidate, it was tone death, the country has turned a page. Everyone else at the table was just silent staring at him.
I know he is the republican at the table so he often goes there - but that’s not what I got and I’m guessing the majority of the people that watched his speech came away with. I was nervous throughout - and thought he should have smiled more (yes being a woman I’ve gotten and HATED this note) but his resting face could come across as old/angry man.
Also had to laugh at this one (esp since being an hour later on the East Coast made it a better time to watch for the rest of country. (from Political Wire)… The DNC’s late-running convention programming reopened the wounds for some of President Biden’s allies, Axios reports. Said one: “This is awful. He literally set up a campaign and handed it over to them — do they have to cut him out of prime time?”
