Most people confuse common contrails which are created by high flying aircraft (26000-40,000 feet up) and chemtrails which are uncommon cloud seeding (8,000 and 12,000 feet up) Maybe we should teach our kids basic science.

I came here to say that the answer to the question, “If the evidence against it is so powerful and the logic is so weak, why do people believe the chemtrail conspiracy theory?” is that many people are stupid.

And is this chemical dumping being done by every government on the planet? Unless I’m mistaken, commercial jets all over the world emit contrails. Are they saying every commercial airline company worldwide is in on this conspiracy? To what end?

They didn’t burn witches in medieval Europe. They burned heretics. That’s about the only wrong bit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Witch burnings really got going in the 16th century, as the Reformations were happening, and they kept going across the Atlantic.

I appreciate the writer of this piece trying to make sense of this nonsense, but the answer is simple. Americans are largely uneducated, arrogant, gullible, self-important, stupid, easily manipulated and fucking proud of all of it. So, yeah. If you can tap into that you can make them pretty much believe anything.
