One of the laws is from 1945 and the other is from 1976, so I think those are different. Snyder’s law was more for appointing someone to run municipalities that were bankrupt (or approaching bankruptcy).

I object to the phrase “DeVos and the Amway fucks” on the grounds that it is too kind by a factor of (at least) 4. Regrettably, more precise, fitting and appropriate terminology is lacking in the King’s English. That said, we get the drift of what you are conveying.
