When I saw the tiki-torchers marching yelling “Jews will not replace us,” my first reaction was, "Believe, me, we do not want to replace you!

It all has to do with the second coming and the rapture. It’s part of a “prophesy” that involves the conversion of the Jews to Christianity. I remember a fresh young Evangelical telling me that it was all part of the plan that the “heathen shall be converted.” My Jewish response was “who you callin’ heathen?” I’m quite satisfied with being born once.

The FBI Human Resources Division just shook their heads as another promising recruit was lost to them.

How does Miller react to this?

Anyone?

The same way he reacts to everything:

Over the weekend 2 men walked into a Walmart on Kansas City, MO. Police were called, customers were upset, commentors were outraged because MO has open carry for all. No need to have permit, no need to have any training to get that permit, and conceal carry is the same because hey it’s way too expensive to renew your permit.
Every single shooter is a law abiding gun owner until such time that they pull the trigger in a crowded place. So I keep posting this.
Charles Whitman in Aug. 1966 killed 11 people from the clock tower at UT, he also wounded 31 others. It took him 96 minutes to accomplish this before police were able shoot and kill him. Now the Dayton shooter took just 32 seconds to kill 9 and wound 27. And in the course of police responding to shooting they managed to shoot 2 of the victims.

Lemme guess the race of the victims… Or not, because it’ll likely just depressingly reiterate what we already know.

He’s going to really hate it when he realizes that prison is not a “White Homeland.”

I don’t know, but I would think that the Dayton situation was like the one in NYC a few years ago when the police shot/wounded 9 people when police confronted a shooter outside the Empire State building. Stray bullets and ricochets is what caused the injuries.

Maybe folks are aware of this already, but out here in Red America, the open racist Republicans are getting emboldened by Trump provocations and are beginning to accuse the non-racist (c’mon, there has to be a few of them still) and closet-racist (there’s the real majority) Republicans of being RINOs.

The Tea Mob did something similar over the deficit, wasn’t THAT precious.

But this is much more profound than fiscal hypocrisy, these haters think the Republican Party now has a hate litmus test for official membership and anyone who fails to agree with their thinly veiled, sometimes (often) open racism is considered a snowflake turncoat.

If the Republican Party fails to check this hard-right hate track they are all now following, the only remnant will be their most dangerous and ignorant members.

And one of the odd factors here, (maybe not odd at all) is that those very Republicans are, almost to the man (and woman) the unhinged gunworship nuts among them.

In the red states, bigotry and fear seem to be common bedfellows.
Go figure.

Another self-refuting white supremacist.

The threat of a lifetime of hard labor would prevent some of these shooters from ever pulling a trigger.

I’ve been places most of you don’t want to go, and I am not a fan of our entire prison system because of it, to say the least.

But if we made mass murder punishable by life in prison at HARD LABOR, do any of you think that wouldn’t have dissuaded someone like this guy?

If you consider that cruel and unusual punishment, think about the children who will never see their mother, the parents who will never see their children again, and weigh that against the well-being of these killers.

I do not propose this as punishment, either. I hope most of you already perceive that.

This is the ultimate form of deterrence. The death penalty is an escape for them, this would curse them to suffer everything they really fear.
If all the lone wolves in that big pack out there had to watch these guys break their backs each day sweating over hard, hot work, they would think twice about their actions.

Sorry to sound so cruel, but if anyone else can think up a deterrent that would discourage ANY shooter in ANY way, please post it.

This seems to me the only immediate solution that would have any impact, and it weouldn’t take long to see the fruits of it.

Anyone who thinks these shooters aren’t afraid of a lifetime of hard labor is blind or lying. they would be glad to die, or spend a life in solitary even, but the threat of hard work, all day long until the day they die would put a dent into these statistics RIGHT NOW!

Somehow, some way, in some time, it always comes back to the Jews with these people. Always.

Losers hate most what they envy most…

I would posit that it is the abiding success of the Jewish people in the face of the worst prejudice that caused this perpetual resentment, not anything nefarious they are accused of.

And this is such an ancient story, it weaves a thread through all of history, so there has been more time for hate of many so forms to evolve against the same people.

I agree and am thankful for some outstanding law enforcement work getting to these guys before they pull the trigger. The guy in Las Vegas was “briefly in the military” which typically means he was flagged as a problem before he got in trouble and discharged as the Coast Guard did with Bowe Bergdahl or he was in long enough to get into trouble and got a Dishonorable Discharge. The Las Vegas guy also did the “neighborhood vigilante patrolling with a semi-automatic rifle” routine. There are warning signs and LEO and schools and the public in general seem to be more willing to intervene earlier.

Exactly. Reality should kick in at his first court appearance.

I think you’re overestimating the great majority with the assumption that it’s thought out so clearly.

They are born followers with the innate need for a strongman leader to tell them what to do. Any time they’re seen flexing some show of force, it’s always to cover up their inherent weakness.
