White House Pivots Further Into Unreality: We Actually Did Mean To Deport Abrego Garcia

I’ve always thought he was the mini me of Roy Cohn, who in a way he has replaced for Trump. But Goebbels is also apt.

In the immortal words of George Costanza, “It’s not a lie if you believe it.” Although intelligent people fooling themselves that much taxes the imagination.

Does anybody have a view on why these Trumpists all think it’s ok to lie? I mean how do they look themselves in the mirror? How do they call themselves patriots and good Americans? Are they really that blind? Trump I get. Miller and Vance and Elon are in it for themselves. i understand that. It’s the sycophants, the excusers, the people who are neither stupid or completely venal, the blind followers I just don’t understand.

When in Rome, do as the Romans do?

I didn’t have Pam Bondi on my Who’s Who card as the Queen of Hearts. (cf Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, particularly the trial scene of the Knave of Hearts.)

Sentence first and verdict later. What 14th Amendment are you talking about–we now have the Queen of Hearts Justice System.

Same weak chin, same “I forgot to shave today stubble”, same beady eyes, same penchant for throwing people into concentration camps…

Because they can. Since the media are afraid of the Trumpists, they never call out the lies. So if this strategy is so successful, why change it?

They do it because they can and never get called out on it.

And because their followers never get beyond Faux News, so until/unless something hits them personally - and totally blindsides them - theyll never know otherwise.

Alice and Wonderland, Orwellian: Hard to come up with any replacements for these metaphors. But why bother/? Lewis Carroll and Geo Orwell must be smiling down, wistfully, on us.

Roy Cohn. The adviser to Joe McCarthy when he was telling lies that destroyed American lives. I think Miller is his replacement for Trump

It’s not even exile though! It’s SLAVERY in contravention of the 13th amendment. The term of slavery began when they arrested a man with the intent to send him into slavery in another country, in violation of the constitution on SEVERAL grounds.

  1. fourth amendment for arresting him without a warrant signed by a judge
  2. fifth amendment for being held and punished without due process
  3. thirteenth amendment for sentencing him to forced labor/slavery without a criminal conviction
  4. violation of article 3 of the constitution to allow the courts to decide what the federal government can do when they ignored the order to keep him in the country - TWICE. Once when they decided to send him out and a second time when they sent him on a plane that was ordered to be turned around

however I think the fourteenth amendment only applies to the states to bring the constitution in line with the 5th amendment protections from the federal government iirc
