White House Floats Theory That Mexico Is To Blame For Spike In COVID Cases

So, his campaign apparently has given up trying to manage him.
They’re letting Trump be Trump.
And Trump thinks that if he gets his MAGAts angry enough, that their votes will count more than ours will.

That, or he’s trying to start the Civil War II.

Their go-to strategy always lands on “blame black/brown people.”

I can save them some time: the commonality is Republicans.

You can also make him into pictures of kittens.

And on a related note, turn all references to Mitch McConnell to Moscow Mitch.

I never know when people use a nickname for the Nacho Bogman now, but it’s a price I’m willing to pay (that one was me, not the extension!). I go with puppies for pic replacement. Keeps my stress level in check.

I ended up uninstalling the kittens, but IIRC you can create a local folder for it to point to and fill it with pictures of whatever you want.

The reality is, it’s the other way around.
The moronic states along the Mexican boarder that REFUSED to go into any kind of “social distancing” and lockdown have allowed infected people to cross over INTO Mexico.

BUT, with Stephen Miller in charge of President Cartman’s “Re-Election Messaging” that means it’s ALL RACIST, ALL THE TIME.

President Cartman desperately needs a scapegoat, and Mexicans are his go-to repeat of 2016.

Never thought he would. Doesn’t mean I need to be subjected to his disgusting face at every turn.

How long will this “theory” float before it sinks?

I’d guess long enough for it to be repeated by the media over a couple of news cycles, for a lot of people to hear it, and for enough people to believe it or think it could be true that it has done its job.

Just like other conspiracy theories and outright lies. It’s what you do when the truth doesn’t work and ya got nothin’ else.

ETA: Actually, they almost always just skip over the truth and go straight to the lies and conspiracy theories.

I’m guessing it will take up to 15 flushes…

It depends on how long it takes for them to come up with another Gish gallop installment.

Here in Elkhart County, Indiana, we are right in the middle of a big surge. The two groups most affected are the large local Hispanic population, and–wait for it–the Amish. Of course they drove their horses and buggies from Indiana to Mexico to import COVID, because of course they did.
Local health officials have seized on this golden opportunity to study the spread of the disease in two distinctly different populations, both somewhat separate from the rest of local society (and from each other, except in the RV factories).
Preliminary conclusions are that what the two groups have in common are: 1) multigenerational families living together, and 2) a lot of value placed on socializing in large groups; church, family, or both.
And also, the two groups are widely separated in their origins, so genetics is unlikely to be a factor.
Oh, and Trump? STFU.
