and when the “9000 Signatures” were investigated, MANY of them were false (like “Dr. Vinny Bomb Boom”), or used WITHOUT the permission of the doctor in question who had no idea their “signature” was on the document.

Also, this is a disastrous solution from an economic perspective as well. People aren’t gonna continue behaving like normal if there is a deadly virus rampaging through the population. Studies have consistently shown that reduction in mobility and economic activity in the most affected cities preceded the lockdowns.
Further, you can also look at Sweden, which has 5x the death rate and 2x the case rate of its worst performing neighbor (Denmark) but still had a much greater economic drop than all its neighbors.
It is a practical joke and the idiots in the White House fell for it.
How about shipping the elderly and vulnerable and others who are not manly-men off to, oh, let’s call them camps, to segregate them from the young and immortal? Has anyone tried anything like that before?

Herd immunity isn’t an option when the virus mutates and people can get re-infected.
There is no herd immunity to the common cold or to influenza, because the viruses are constantly changing and new strains arise that are not blocked by the old anti-bodies.
There’s no reason to think that COVID-19 wouldn’t do the same. Indeed, there is plenty of evidence already suggesting that what we currently are seeing isn’t one strain of COVID, but a few different strains across the globe.
With that in mind, waiting for “herd immunity” is an insane strategy.

What’s wrong with a trial experiment to see if it works? Gather a few thousand die-hard GOP-ers together, make sure they’re infected, then sit back and see what percentage of them die.
It’s how science progresses. 
They may already have one waiting to be released at the right time.

I’m more inclined to watch Trump’s town hall instead of Biden’s. I expect there to be more fireworks, but maybe they’re screening the attendees and will have them sign agreements to not ask ‘tough or interesting questions’.

Although preliminary, there are strong indicators that the majority of those infected, including those with only mild initial symptoms, end up with permanent damage to brain, heart and other vital systems.
