Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely President Trump’s corrupt $1.776 billion “Anti-Weaponization Fund” is the gift that keeps on giving … to Trump. New details continue to dribble out about the so-called settlement agreement resolving Trump’s $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS. Foremost among them: A thin, shoddily drafted single-page document dated May 19 and signed by…

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

Maybe so, but the Dotard is rotten to the core; his corruption was laid bare and plain to see by his power.

Lawyers reading this, how can this agreement possibly be enforced once Trump is out of office?

Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely

Could it be that with the slush fund and side letter, Trump 2.0 has reached peak depravity and devastation, and there is no possible ‘worse’ to come. Yeah, not putting money on it.

There might be something in the air.

In one of the only contested primaries in Pennsylvania, Democratic Socialist Chris Rabb won the Democratic Primary for PA’s 3rd Congressional district.

State Rep. Chris Rabb, a democratic socialist who has repeatedly challenged Philadelphia’s political establishment, has won the tightly contested 3rd Congressional District primary — a striking victory for the city’s left-leaning coalition after a combative and rare open contest.

The Associated Press called the race at 10:42 p.m. on Tuesday. Rabb, a five-term state lawmaker from East Mount Airy, handily defeated two other top contenders in the hard-fought race, according to unofficial returns.

In the bluest district in the country, the result sets Rabb on an almost guaranteed path to succeeding U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans, who is retiring after a decade in the seat. Rabb’s election would mark a significant shift from half of Philadelphia voters being represented by a more mainstream Democratic voice to one in the most left-wing faction of Congress.

[…]

“I did not win tonight. We won,” he said from the stage. “This is just the beginning.”

The win represented a major blow to leaders of Philadelphia’s Democratic Party, who largely rallied around the other candidates and have clashed with Rabb for years…

Who didn’t see this coming.

Not the first time this has happened. He wanted her “fired” last year, too

Looking forward to the Todd Blanche AG nominee hearings in the Senate. May be the best one yet.

PS. I have no doubt he would shoot a dog if asked.

One of TFG’s endorsements wasn’t a slam dunk

https://indianacapitalchronicle.com/2026/05/19/trump-backed-candidate-seeks-recount-in-indiana-senate-race-with-3-vote-margin/

The President Donald Trump-endorsed challenger to state Sen. Spencer Deery has filed for a recount of their Republican primary race, claiming it was tainted by “illegal votes.”

And, she may have a point.

Indiana has an open primary system under which voters may request either Republican or Democratic ballots. Voters, however, must attest that they are seeking “the ballot of the political party, a majority of whose candidates I voted for at the last general election, or whom I intend to vote for in the next general election.”

They combed through social media accounts and found 14 people stupid enough to announce that’s what they were planning on or had done. It might allow her to take depositions.

The NYT has an article up today about the Iran war miscalculations, and the way Iran is using a strategy where the word from game theory is triangular coercion – “attacking a more vulnerable third party that has some leverage over an adversary to gain advantage over an opponent that cannot be outmatched directly.” Like hitting Qatar’s LNG plant and removing 20% of its capacity, after Israel hit Iran’s own gas plant on the other side of the Gulf. Our Gulf Allies can’t absorb any more attacks on their oil and gas infrastructure. And so, stalemate.

The article concludes with “Not all countries will be willing or able to use triangular coercion against a hostile superpower in the same way. But after Iran’s example, more may try.”

Which got me thinking about Cuba.

People were scoffing about the claim by Cuba that they had 300 drones, like that was nothing compared to the US military. But what if they used triangular coercion against, say, the cruise ship industry? Or just cargo ships passing nearby? Cuba is only 125 miles from the Bahamas, 170 miles from Turks and Caicos Islands, 100 miles from Jamaica. Plenty of ship traffic passing through there, and easy reach for a Shahed style drone.

As we saw with the Strait of Hormuz, it’s the insurance companies that halt traffic unless there is zero threat. Unlike the Strait of Hormuz, there are alternate routes in the Caribbean for these ships. But it might still lead to a similar stalemate as long as Cuba retains even a few operational drones.
