About the classiest thing the GA Lege ever did, after they grudgingly admitted Black folks were people, too, was get Ray to come in and sing “Georgia on My Mind” when they made it the state song (even if it is about a woman, and not the state…)

Yesterday the forecast for North Georgia was general rain: today Atlanta has a ~35% rain chance: it’s higher the further north you go.
Hope it depresses the heavily GOP votes north of Atlanta.
I’m taking two non drivers to the polls in Hiwassee, as I’m just one toke over the line in NC: I can literally see Georgia from my place, and across the lake where I walk, daily.

Go to any place in Georgia and ask people who their PRESENT U.S. Senators are.
Prbably 15-20% could name both of them. (it would be the same in most states).
Then ask them who Herschel Walker is, 98% correct responses.
It’s NAME RECOGNITION.
It’s the only way Herschel ever had a chance. Same with Trump.

As Abrams showing against Kemp proves, the Democrats might have gotten lucky with Trump’s candidate choices. There is no reason to believe a solid middle of the road Republican candidate wouldn’t have beaten Warnock in November.
