Apparently it’s not his political beliefs that are anathema - it is the crazy.

Let them go, but they have to go as a colony, puerto rico-style. No senator for you!

ETA: We can name the colony the American Virgin Hinterlands

That district voted 56% for Trump. Like much of central and eastern WA it’s a Republican bastion in an otherwise Blue state.

They want to establish their own country - Redoubt.

From Merriam-Webster:

redoubt

noun

re·doubt | \ ri-ˈdau̇t \

Definition of redoubt

1a : a small usually temporary enclosed defensive work

b : a defended position : protective barrier

2 : a secure retreat : STRONGHOLD

My definition, as applied to this bunch:

I doubted your sanity once. Now, I doubt it again …

Redoubt

I did graduate work at Washington State University at Pullman, WA … an island of blue in a sea of red. The militia types used to be relegated to northern Idaho’s mojntains but I guess times have changed what with open support for those crazies from the White House and all. Now the nut jobs are mainstream.

It’s only blue on the left side of the mountains (where all the people and money are). East of the mountains it’s… well, i think the Waco Kid said it best…

The bluer the state the more rabid the red spot. We all have them. It is like the crazy uncle at the Thanksgiving table, there but not worth noticing.

Yes they are but they are doing us all a favor by running off young Americans in large numbers who are turning against religion altogether.

Shea forwarded Caughran’s email to the far-right broadcaster Jack Robertson, known as “John Jacob Schmidt”

Any relation to John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt? His name is my name too.

among supporters in the anti-government movement.

The first time I saw this, I thought it read, “anti-government government”. I kinda like the sound of that better for this bunch.

Per the report, Shea also dug up a list of what he said was “all law enforcement in Washington,” so that allies could confirm whether FBI agents or other potential government investigators were legitimate.

I may never

But I’m in the lord’s army.

So true. The evangelicals are exposed and will hasten the end of power for the so-called religious based voter. It is about damn time.
