You can just imagine what they would have said if they’d had time to plan even a little. Poor coffee boy millionaire.

I’m re-interpreting based on a report from the Independent, but apparently one of the lines of attack is that the impeachment hearings are unfair because they amount to free political advertising for the democratic party.

That’s right - the impeachment hearings are anti-capitalist socialism and therefore un-American.

How about a trip to the cemetery?

Sondland is coming across as self-serving, slippery and evasive in questioning by Adam Schiff. Not a sympathetic character.

I wouldn’t want to be on that plane to Texas today, where Trump’s pretty clearly being taken to keep him distracted and away from Twitter.

It’s going to be a “shoe bomber” situation.

Also, I’d like to be the official bus provider to the government. They’re going to need a lot more, considering how many maladministration (and other) people Sondland is throwing under.

Agree. It’s his fundamental rich-guy character. Yet he is not going down without taking his co-conspirators. He is blaming everybody, especially the orders from POTUS. “Just following orders” is the best he can do at this point.

Their line of attack on Sondland’s credibility is obvious, devastating, and unanswerable – he’s a Trump donor. Everyone knows that those people are all liars and criminals.

Apparently has been listening to his attorneys. Always a good choice when walking a fine line between freedom or prison.

I am not sure why it counts as news that Trump’s team tried to read Sonderland’s statement in advance. What is the newsworthy claim? What is the new information? Of course they did, why wouldn’t they? Is the information in the fact that they were denied? Is the information that the staff at the White House was able in this one case to think three days in advance?

An administration official told the Post that Trump and his advisers believe that Sondland would be a “wild card.”
