I’m just in a bad mood as I found out today my place on 5 acres that I sold 5 years ago out west is being sold again. I was a gardening fool and it looked so great and now it looks like shit. Accidentally found out about it being sold and emailed my realtor and she said she had thought of telling me but thought I’d be really upset by how it looked. And, that is why I swore I’d never go back. It breaks my heart. @left_in_washington_state

I had an interesting call today with an old friend. Very sweet and pretty damned conservative. She has had severe pneumonia in the past. I was happy to hear she is taking this very seriously. We talked about the news and she said, she was surprised that our government wasn’t more prepared. I then told her about the pandemic response team that were set up under Obama that had been dismantled by donnie. She was shocked. Had not heard about it. I told her the Obama team had a whole plan that they reviewed with the trump team who then dumped it. She was appalled and said she would look it up. I tried to not sound partisan and she actually listened. I hope she will research. It is amazing what they don’t know.

I understand - when my mom passed back about 15 years ago, of course, the family house was sold (Dad’s been gone more than 20 years).
I’ve been back once or twice since. It’s changed so much and lost a lot of its character. Fortunately, I live too far away to encounter it frequently (it’s in PA), so the pain isn’t so bad,
But I feel your pain.

God I wish it were so, and that everyone could see that Trump is decompressing before our very eyes… But a good part of the country has an IQ of 100 or below, meaning a functional IQ of less than 90. These MAGA people see action and yelling as “leadership” so what we see as a shit show, they see as Trump being presidential.
He is hurting himself with a lot of suburban voters, but to reach the next 5% of the electorate will take TV and facebook advertisements. The most useful part of Trump running his pie hole is lots of shit to put in those TV advertisements…

Trumpists are probably the least empathetic people. Saying that there are 200,000 cases of Covid-19 is not a real factor, given this type of illness and its infection pattern, especially in the minds of these individuals.
But just because one jumps off a 200 story building and is not hurting at all when he’s at the 50th floor does not mean that he will not feel the effects of the fall.
