President Trump and the White House coronavirus task force are scheduled to hold a briefing at 5 p.m. ET. Trump is likely to discuss Acting Navy Secretary Thomas Modly’s screed about firing former Capt. Brett Crozier, who raised concerns over the spread of COVID-19 on his ship, as well as the HHS watchdog’s report that found the federal government partially responsible for medical supply shortages.
The daily propaganda rally by Trump. There is no need for him to attend let alone speak and take questions at every single one of these. Trump is very repetitive and rarely gives any real information of substance. All that is required are the experts and Mike Pence to give a very brief statement. Let the experts speak. His press secretary should be giving daily briefings on other subjects -not him.
Unless they announce nationwide shelter in place, closing all non-essential businesses and gathering places (that means religious ones too), and mandatory face masks in public, I don’t want to hear about it.
