WH: Biden Won’t Spend ‘Much Time’ Watching Trump’s Impeachment Trial

I’ll bet he does get a heckuva highlights reel.

Meh, he’ll probably just watch Colbert before bed-time.

This is the correct course for Biden.

What Schumer is thinking with his “no witnesses” stance is a different matter and mostly idiotic. Without witnesses, the trial will be about the speech and Republicans’ bogus constitutionality argument.

Especially if dems want to paint the gop as the party of QAnon in the next election, they need to spell out for the American people what happened, starting from well before the election.

Of course we’re concerned. Due to COVID-19, there won’t be any chances in the near future to see Groucho, Chico, Harpo, Gummo, and Zeppo on the big screen at the local arthouse movie theater.

I for one would welcome Groucho back with open arms.

I noticed that the overwhelming number of questions for Jen seem to be looking for the next “gotcha” or headline. I wonder if this has always been so or is just a warping of journalistic practice from the last four years.

Always was, never really changes. Just getting more coverage these days.

As long as I can remember, with the DC Press Corps it’s always been “politics as sport” or “politics as theater criticism”. Policy questions do arise, but are infrequent. For example, Biden is keeping sanctions on Iran until they can demonstrate a return to the restrictions of the 2015 agreement. I didn’t watch the presser, but I doubt anyone asked about it.

It’s been that way as long as I can remember. Political reporters don’t care about policy. They only care about politics.

President Biden will be busy with this:

NEW: @JoeBiden takes what is likely the first step to replace corrupt Postmaster DeJoy.

Biden will fill vacancies on the USPS Board of Governors — the Board has sole power to fire and replace DeJoy.

Groucho once asked one of his female contestants why she had so many children.
She answered that she loved her husband.
Groucho countered, “Well I love my cigar, but I take it out of my mouth sometimes.”

He also said, “A woman is just a woman, but a cigar is a smoke.” Apparently, it got him six months in the guest room (where he enjoyed his after dinner corona).

In case you missed it, Fox News is now featuring the assertion it is the fault of the Obamas that children are not back in school.

Yeah, just like that knucklehead Barack botched his response to Katrina I suppose.

I was thinking more Mark Burnett the true creator of the monster. Before that he was just a Page Six joke.

Biden is a daily delight.

She’s already told the gang there that it may be hard for them to believe but the President and his staff don’t actually devote a lot of time to thinking about Trump. It’s like they have day jobs they’re busy doing or something.

Pitch perfect.

Both Joe and Jen.

Groucho would not agree. “I don’t want to belong to any club that would have me as a member.”
