Even “Fox and Friends” co-host Brian Kilmeade wasn’t buying White House deputy press secretary Hogan Gidley’s claim Wednesday that life for Americans is “undoubtedly” better now than it was before President Trump took office nearly four years ago.
You know what they say…" some of 'em all the time but not all of 'em all the time". 55.8% are currently not being fooled. That number has been trending up since March.
…all the success and the positive things that have occurred because of this president’s policies.
Um, what policies? Other than resolutely treating non-whites like dirt, I’m not aware of anything else coming from this administration that could be called a “policy.”
This, BTW, is why I have concluded that all Trump supporters are, at best, closet white supremacists. There’s no other reason to support him.
I doubt sycophancy is behind much of this Trump adoration. It’s probably due more to a cush fat green check that comes in every 2 weeks with little required ( other than this ) to get it. Checks stops if Biden wins so it’s a no brainer why these takers are out on the prowl.
To bring your pray into the Stockholm Syndrome you have to be clever and manipulative. Trump is neither. He’s being used by all around him as that last Lincoln Project video points out.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (The Borowitz Report)—In a scandal that threatens to upend Donald Trump’s Presidency, a new book accuses Trump of paying Vice-President Mike Pence to take his coronavirus tests for him.
According to the book, “Swapping Swabs: Trump’s Pandemic of Lies,” when the subject of being tested for the virus first came up, in March, Trump started casting about for a “good test-taker” to substitute for him
Trump considered several candidates for the ruse, including his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and the Attorney General, William Barr, but ultimately settled on Pence, who agreed to take the tests for the fee of twenty-five dollars per result.
Reportedly, Pence initially balked at the proposal, expressing concern that it “would look bad” if the truth about his taking Trump’s coronavirus tests came out, but Trump brusquely shut him down.
“I’ve never taken my own tests, and I’m not going to start now,” Trump allegedly snapped.
“Undoubtedly?” Really?? One should always be skeptical and view with suspicion anyone who is so damned sure of themselves and show zero humility. Does Gidley’s attitude remind you of anyone??
I think what will really burn is the tone deafness of Gidley. Tens of millions of people are out of work, and the vast majority of those who do have jobs are extremely worried about whether they will be able to keep those jobs – or whether those jobs will kill them.
Ands the fact that Kilmeade (of all people) actually challenged Gidley indicate just how out of touch the campaign (and the White House) really is.
