The analogy is not accurate, aside from the numbers of unemployed, in my opinion, at least so far. The conditions of the GD were quite different from those today. And the pity/concern/compassion for those affected is completely appropriate for a sentient being.

I mean, Trump may be able to shoot someone on 5th Avenue (or wherever it was), and get away with it, but he and his lackeys are shooting themselves (and currently taking about 80,000 people and the economy with him).

Funny thing. We have a food production system developed to supply restaurants & institutions who desperately want to sell product. We have restaurants & cafeterias who desperately want to make & serve food. And we have people who desperately want to get & eat food. The solution seems obvious.
But these soulless ghouls don’t think “the poors” deserve anything nice.
