This whole line of thinking is riddled with an unreasonable sense of entitlement that wouldn’t be accepted by anyone else. I guess I just don’t understand this ‘right’ to overthrow the government as reasonable and/or acceptable.

Is the nation sliding into insanity or just a portion of it. I am swearing something happened and a third of this country underwent a partial lobotomy somehow. Possibly too much exposure of that crowd to Sports Bars and Kardashians.

Remember “Typhoid Mary” was not ignorant as to the disease’s mechanisms of communicability … while she might not have been a genius, there was absolutely no “ignorance of the facts” involved … she chose (in violation of court orders &common sense) to continue to interact with others & engage in activities that spread the disease - because it suited her wants & needs …

The NYT has done heroic exploratory work over the last four years establishing a route through the mysterious Midwest, complete with a network of waysides for weary reporters called “diners”. Well-stocked with quotable statements, these “diners” allow reporters to complete their MAGA safari and file a story without the tedious ‘thinking’ and ‘analysis’ reporting traditionally requires.

If one crazy person stands up in a crowded theater and yells fire everyone suffers. Or, more to current affairs, if one unvaccinated teacher or coworker comes hacking and coughing (unmasked and COVID positive) into the room we or our children are in. We’re all collateral damage to the crazies, no matter how much we wall them off from ourselves, or ourselves off from the insanity.

Who wouldn’t move to Canada? I’ve been looking into it since W won a second term. It’s almost impossible to move there and actually become a citizen.

My choice would be Granville in Normandy, France…hands down. They’re blessed with rockin’ sea food, traditional French cuisine, fairly low rent, and damn fine sources of alcohol. But I’d hafta be 45 years younger. So, it’s the desert southwest (southern Arizona) for me now.
