I wonder how much longer Fauci has in this “Administration.” He’s done an okay job (not perfect, but okay), of keeping his reputation, but as Trump becomes more unhinged, will he just say “fuck it, I’m out.” Or will he be fired?

Cutting WHO funding had to make him crazy, I can’t imagine he can handle more stupid decisions like this and still look at himself in the mirror.

Hey! I am enjoying his paint in the corner moments and his stream of consciousnesses riffing.

It reminds us his entire term in office has been one long 2020 campaign. Governing was never his goal, just raising money to get re-elected because it’s a prestigious title. But when the WSJ says this about him, he really should listen up.

the briefings “have become less about defeating the virus and more about the many feuds of Donald J. Trump.”

Novel reading time. Can’t and won’t participate in this shit-show.
Exit, stage left…

The network bosses think that if they don’t broadcast these screeds and rants, because he is the President (didn’t work this way for Obama), they will be accused of taking a side, even though broadcasting these things is in itself taking a side.

And now I’m gone.

Here’s a question:

“What was the purpose of this briefing? What have you taught us today, Mr. President?“

Because we’re living Groundhog Day in every day sameness, I watched it the other p.m. I’d forgotten how funny it was.

Excerpt from NYT reporting.

Trump’s former chief strategist, Stephen K. Bannon, urged his former boss to stop funding the W.H.O., citing its ties to the “Chinese Communist Party.”

And inside the West Wing, the president found little resistance among the China skeptics in his administration for lashing out at the W.H.O. and essentially trying to shift the blame for his own failure to aggressively confront the spread of the virus by accusing the world’s premier global health group of covering up for the country where it started.

While the messaging is getting better, one thing Biden’s campaign could do is post a peaceful, hopeful, calming message juxtaposed to many of the ramblings here. Dial it back just a hair on the campaign rhetoric. A good, comforting counterpoint. Tell us where we are going, where we can go and who we are versus the blathering accusations, innuendo, ugliness of this president. The material is right there, nightly. Use it.

I’d just like a succinct message, I agree with what you say, but in order to appeal to most Americans, the message can’t be complex. It just can’t be complex. If the message is too complex, here come the attacks of elitism and out of touch.

No. Needs to be words of one syllable. Tight. No wiggle room.

I truly cannot believe he is doing this 7 days a week - for how fucking long? God almighty, save us. Who’s he going to bring up eventually? Scott Biao? Charo? Maybe Dr. Birx could belt out some Broadway hits.

FDR had his faults, the Japanese internment for one, but overall he’s one of the best, up there with Washington and Lincoln.

Do we think he lost control of his bowel or started speaking like someone with Tourette’s or something and they’re going to cancel?

Or is he always this late?

It’s the only thing he’s truly committed to - broadcasting on an open stage just how wonderful he is.

Never mind there’s a pandemic raging - a fire right outside his Oval office. He’s wonderful and that’s all we need to know, right?
