yep. Worse than that he is a partner at Kirkland-Ellis. https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefings-statements/white-house-national-security-advisor-announces-nsc-senior-staff-appointments/
Yes, but this story line is much clearer. Many nat sec people expressed immediate concern, b/c of the threat to nat security. Eisenberg is a NSC lawyer who reports to the WH Counsel’s office. The idea that he didn’t know why NSC people were bothered by what Trump did strains credulity. He also can’t argue that the very fact that the POTUS spoke on it made it eligible for a super secret server, because that wasn’t the protocol. All of the uniform objections from NSC and other gov’t staff made it clear that Trump had committed a crime. Eisenberg was also constructively and actually informed of this with the WB complaints and by the CIA GC. Eisenberg has liability exposure.
This guy has the keys to the kingdom locked up in his basement.
I think we can be sure it wasn’t the first time Eisenberg hid evidence of abuse of power and self-dealing in the double secret server. Reports are it also holds memos of calls with Putin, Xi, and MBS.
Trump calls Vindman - who his administration appointed - a never Trumper.
Endless BS.
Because that’s how Nunes and Patel falsely (lied about) presented Patel’s background to Trump.
I suspect the lawyer for the lawyer needs a lawyer. Lawyers all around!
What the country needs is a Mass Consciousness of Eisenberg’s Guilt.
If the U.S. can produce enough millions to have a Consciousness of Guilt for Bill Clinton so as to warrant an Impeachment Trial, then the Eisenberg situation for America is the equivalent of a layup with no one guarding you.
Looking for a fictional secure server and hiding it on a real secure server…
“I would like to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say CrowdStrike . I guess you have one of your wealthy people . The server, they say Ukraine has it.” Trump added that he’d like to have Attorney General William Barr call “you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it.”
It’s in the house Donald! Get out!!! It’s in the houuuussse!!!
And read up about the Watergate Seven!
Can Kirkland Ellis be declared a terrorist organization or can the RICO statutes be applied in some way? They seem like mob lawyers for the GOP.
Exactly.
Well, that’s the story, but whenever a story like this comes along that seems to shift the blame away from Trumpy, I am skeptical. The point is he went to someone more pliable and less ethical (or unethical) for help. That seems like part of the Trump MO.
Didja’yall see that politico story about Vindman being excluded from meetings with Trump, because Trump thought one of Nunes’ lackeys was in charge of NSC’s Ukraine affairs? That is a loose thread I’m seriously looking to see pulled.
exactly
I agree. I wasn’t very clear on my point on this. I was thinking that Eisenberg knew that it was wrong before Vindman told him, and didn’t act on his knowledge. You are absolutely right that multiple people knew that it was wrong and lodged complaints and concerns, and they responded by covering it up. It’s becoming more obvious by the day that this was a significant crime against the people of the United States.
If dragged to Congress this guy is going to plead the 5th. He is deeper in the Kimchee than most Trump lackeys, he has been though everything, just for starters he was hired by Flynn, and it was involved in the leaks to Devin Nunes. This guy urgently needs a dose of polonium.
Technically, for now, Eisenberg is a former Kirkland partner. But his affiliation is not surprising. Kirkland is known for its aggressive litigators and, shall we say, affinity for sometimes skating close to ethical lines in representing its clients.
There’s a very clear division between the very honorable career people, such as Yovanovitch, Taylor, Vindman, etc., from the dishonorable political people aka Trump’s people.
And now there are rumblings of Trump having mob associates. Maddow did a chilling story on Lev Parnas, who claims “executive privilege” regarding his actions. He was involved in a Colombo crime family related “pump and dump” scheme in Florida. Still has a judgement of $500k against him that he hasn’t paid, though he had money to give to Guliani and the RNC.
Big real estate in New York is pretty much a guarantee.
