Exactly. Legal or illegal … it was a corrupt act and an abuse of power that was part of an ongoing scheme of bribery/extortion of a foreign government, using the power of the United States to further the totally personal interests of Individual 1, Donald J. Trump.
And the cover-up continues. But there are cracks in the dam.

He went around Esper because Esper was put in the job by his West Point classmate Pompeo and I believe Spencer was trying to keep a MURDERER out of the Seals and he feared Esper was willing to go along with whatever the hell it was TODAY that Trump wanted.
Don’t hear any complaining from Esper about anything Trump is doing, no push back at ALL.

Yup. Defense lawyers across the military are already in ERs across the country from alcohol poisoning due to excessive partying.
This will have an effect going forward on cases for years. If Gallagher’s conduct (not just the murder or the posing for a photo, but also his continued insubordination-- that’s probably the real kicker in this case, he’s been a total asshole to his Chain of Command since he got off. Not many people murder, but lots of insubordination is regularly punished) isn’t punishable, then which person’s is?
