Why do we want some foreigner taking over our Department of Energy!? -RWNJ

I understand the shrinking height (I am in mid 70s) but that actually makes my feet and hands seem bigger than they have ever been. Haha!

Maybe she has looked at what it’s supposed to do.

She’s not a lobbyist, she’s smart, and she’s a proven leader and will have a whole team under her who will advise her, just as Biden will, and every other person who heads these positions.

Sold.

Well I was talking about President Uncle Joe’s post nasal drip but it certainly works in a weird way for Donnie’s hands too.

hahahahahahahahahaha

(so that’s why my hands look so manly these days? hahahaha)

At least a bit more background than Perry.

One of her signature policies as governor was a mandate for the state to increase the share of its energy derived from renewable sources like solar and wind.
Granholm pushed a renewable portfolio standard requiring 10% of the state’s energy to come from renewable sources by 2015, a percentage that was later increased.

Yes, that was good stuff.

While the Cabinet level position does guide policy, Ms. Granholm is an excellent leader and manager, which is more important than expertise, in some ways. Being a leader means that she will surround herself with and, most importantly, listen to those with the expertise when setting out policy. Frequently, those with in-depth expertise, are not the best at leadership/policy/politics. There are exceptions to every case (Obama’s DOE secretary comes to mind), but Jennifer will do an excellent job based on how she handled the decade long Michigan recession in the face of a rabid Republican legislature.

These are both fair points in her favor, I agree.

Completely an outside observer, but it seems like a very strange thing if the race split, so if Warnock can edge out Loeffler, then that would likely buoy up Ossoff, however people personally feel about him. I don’t imagine a lot of Warnock/Perdue tickets.

Of course, he never learned the lesson, a la The Sting: “What was I supposed to do? Call him for cheating better than me!?”

And then Rick Snyder appeared on the scene.

It looks like Rick Snyder, the Republican governor of Michigan whose legislation will give “Emergency Managers” carte blanche over Michigan municipalities in the event of a ‘financial crisis’ is lowering taxes on businesses by raising taxes on the poor and working class:

Gov. Rick Snyder (R-MI) has proposed ending his state’s Earned Income Tax Credit, cutting a $600 per child tax credit, and reducing credits for seniors, while also cutting funding for school districts by eight to ten percent. At the same time, as the Michigan League for Human Services found, the state’s business taxes would be reduced by nearly $2 billion, or 86 percent, under Snyder’s plan.

Snyder wants to cut business taxes by 86 percent, lowering revenue from those taxes from $2.1 billion to approximately $293 million – a drop of $1.8 billion, all during a recession that has Michigan, like so many other states, strapped for cash. To close that gap, personal income taxes would go up from $5.75 billion to $7.5 billion – and rates on the lowest earners would go up more than rates on the top 1%:

Actually, the rich bitch’s seat is a special election to fill the remainder of Isakson’s term. Whoever wins will have to defend the seat in 2022.

I knew corporations were people, but when did cars get the right to vote?

The “Situational Ethics” Dick? Jelly fish have more backbone (and expertise) than Dick. He was nothing but a (pardon my language) fucking rubber stamp for the Republicans. He is only second to Engler as the worst Governor of Michigan in its history.

Inside The Perimeter – yes?

Or maybe you are just feeling more manly! I mean that in a good way, as in righteous and assertive.

And what are those cars doing on the sea? Are they on barges? Aircraft carriers? Or are they amphibious? Are they going out to sea? If so, will they get military absentee ballots?

And taken that way too.

Well, Warnock won a 3-way split by 36% to 29% for Loeffler. Top two runoff.
Where Ossoff (47.9%) was able to hang tight in a 2-way race-- riding Biden’s coattail pulling Perdue (49.7%) under 50% – forcing a runoff.

Ossoff also has Perdue’s nuts in a vice. He’s flat out called him a crook during their only debate. Why Perdue refused another one.

A historic city. (Wikipedia)

Are you up for making more?

You’re right about the urban rural divide in Georgia, but please, Dickey wrote Deliverance 50 years ago. Change comes slow, but it does come.
