More of this, please. I was saying in another post that more and more folks bringing lawsuits such as this one is one of the few good things to have come from the Trump Era. Democrats and just decent people in general have allowed this behavior to go on for years where the RW just makes shit up about people and then disseminates their lies far and wide. They don’t need to threaten violence, they just tell a bunch of lies about people that riles up the rubes.
I also think this is part of a larger problem with mis/disinformation that got a lot of people dead from Covid. It’s why so many people say things like “I don’t know what to believe” when the truth is blatantly obvious. Folks have to go after the lies every time it’s feasible. At this point, holding people legally accountable both criminally and civilly is part of how we keep this democracy
Works for me. Vindman’s team should include forensic accountants to find any monies they have off-shored. Jr. should end up selling loosies om Astoria Boulevard.
One of the more interesting aspects of the Trump era was the use of Fox News as state tv. This symbiotic blending of state and cable news is often noted. Corruption is when the state is manipulated by external parties for some purpose that violates the general interest. But Fox only exists to sell soap and make Rupert rich. What is it when a corrupt government can repurpose private media to destroy its actual or perceived enemies?
Uh oh. He said he was fine. So, that will be a big issue when Trump, Jr. and the others try to get this dismissed. If it goes forward, discovery will be a bitch for them. But this kind of lawsuit might take years to unfold. Oh well.
