While UK was using “Herd Immunity” to leap frog the “Stay-at-Home” Covid-19 response, last night Boris Johnson had finally ordered Britons to stay at home.
Meanwhile, Covidiot Trump wants to use the herd immunity response while TX Lt Gov says its okay for geriatrics to die for the almighty $!

it seems social distancing and a lock down of nonessential movement can make a difference. But that takes time and patience and common sense. In the face of evidence of a strategy that is effective, the fool in the White House of course takes the opposite approach and wants to go back to making money and looking good for re-election rather than saving lives and maintaining a strained but functioning health care system. Trump doesn’t care. He’s already been tested at least once and his entire family and entourage will get only the finest, and best-resourced, care imaginable. The hell with the rest of us.
Yeah, my understanding is that his advisors finally convinced him to change direction by getting him to understand that the death toll of following that course would not be “politically survivable” for him.
Just like with IMPOTUS, it’s all about BoJo.

I’m getting tired of the stock market begging for bailouts. Shut up and stay home for two weeks and let us try to heal without digging a deeper pit. Stimulus won’t work now - nobody is going to get on an airplane or stay at a hotel until this is under control.
Which is exactly why IMPOTUS wants a bailout. He’s losing big $$$ while his golf courses, hotels and Merde-a-Lago are closed. He’s closing in on another bankruptcy…
This was expected, I think. The situation in the USA is, perhaps, even more troubling with that vulgarian unable to understand what will work and what will not work in response to this. If he actually relaxes social distancing rules in a week’s time, this could get well out of control.
Looks like the gop/Mnuchin are finally going to agree to Congressional Oversight of the big pot of money so the legislation will go forward.
IMPOTUS won’t be happy with oversight, but he’s getting desperate.
Trump does have the franchise on the Rockefeller Center ice rink. . .
