Under Trump's Executive Order, Sending Mail-in Ballots Could Take Weeks or Years

So can we just send ICE to Iran to finish the job? Since it is a police action…

This truly is the era of pedophiles somehow grabbing control over governance and culture.

At first I was questioning the amount of time quoted to certify mail ballots, but then I had to remember that we’re talking about moving physical objects through a barcode scanner in the second phase of the proposed rule, which then checks against a master database. Yeah, someone in the design phase was used to thinking about how purely electronic databases work.

By the way, the first vote by mail ballots in North Carolina for the midterm election start going out to voters today. The horse is out of the barn, the ship has sailed, I don’t see how even this SCOTUS can stop the process now, although they could still mess with the '28 election.

This all will likely end up before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Please explain how. What in the Constitution gives the U. S. Supreme Court jurisdiction in this case.

I hope not, but I admit I’m having a hard time seeing how “for the good of the country” doesn’t eat us alive. No law can survive that rationale.

If we take the Senate by one, I think he’ll switch. He says he won’t, but he is clearly aware of where he can find love and approval at this point…and it’s no longer with us.

Nah. Someone in the design phase was thinking in terms of “if we’re trying to create huge delays and lines with PEOPLE as a way of fucking with voting, why wouldn’t we also create huge delays and “lines” with how BALLOTS get to to voters?” The analogy is apt, and they’re acting on it.

“LOWER THE RATE OR I’LL STOP TRADING WITH COUNTRIES WITH WHICH WE HAVE A DEFICIT, which the U.S. Supreme Court, in its ridiculous and very costly Tariff decision, strongly acknowledged ‘the President’ has an absolute right to do,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social. “IT’S BETTER THAN TARIFFS! The Fed Board, with its great new leader, must get smart - BE PATRIOTS for a change.”

F*** Uber. They charge $80-100 dollars from JFK airport to Manhattan. Better off taking the A or E train or the LIRR to the Airtrain for far less money.

The SCOTUS majority could conceivably rule that vote by mail was never enshrined in the Constitution, it only started on a mass scale during the Civil War with so many men away from their home voting districts. Yada, yada, not legal.

On the other hand, it would immediately disenfranchise voters in the several states that vote almost exclusively by mail, forcing a complete reconstruction of a system that is a state’s right to determine under the Constitution. I have to think it’s a step too far even for this court. (Cue the doomsayers)

SCOTUS, GANG of 6 - Not a single voter has yet suffered adverse consequences!

If any voters in the future feel they have a right to vote, voted and their vote failed or disappeared, they have the right to sue the Trump administration!

For the damages of a lost vote! And nothing else because the President is immune from accountability for anything and everything.

Class action suits will not be accepted.
