All 3 fail to get one thing: Mother Nature does not fuck around and cannot be conned, scammed, grifted or fooled. Trump, BoJo and Bolo did not take that rule into consideration when they attempted to bullshit their way into people’s hearts by blowing off the ultimate Mother.
Who cares?
Back to important news.
This virus thrives on our normal behavior. We hug, shake hands, and congregate to celebrate or mourn. Politicians in particular benefit from all the door knocking, strategy meetings, contribution scrounging and travel associated with getting or staying elected. I am sorry BoJo got infected, because he acted AMA ( Against Medical Advice) and cross contaminated who knows how many innocent people. Maybe he wanted to show solidarity with our malicious moron, which will get him a nice tweet for his funeral, maybe.
The virus was doing well on it’s own. Add in the aid and malice of sociopathic leaders and humans are going to suffer beyond imagination. And that has always been the Trump strategy.
Has Johnson admitted he’s done something wrong. Or is he proud to demonstrate that it’s just a common flu?
See, it was no big deal just a runny nose and some chest discomfort.
For awhile there, I thought the PM was rising to the occasion and was smarter than people believed, with his payments to self-isolating workers, rent and mortgage suspension, and all the rest. But going around shaking hands with everyone in the Covad ward? Continuing to shake hands after coming down with it?? Come on, Boris. Don’t be a dumb Trump.
Seriously, man? You sound like one of the Deplorables.
Irony is not dead.
Indeed. But the whole “culling the herd” argument fails when you consider that the most likely victims are people who have already made their contributions to the genetic pool. Them, and their children, and their children’s children. Culling mainly the elderly has almost no effect on the genome.
True, but it could have a societal impact. If the kids like their parents or grandparents, they might get upset that DT and BJ significantly heightened their risk with their irresponsible behavior. If the kids don’t like them, it’s probably because their elders were DT/BJ supporters.
It’s important because it highlights that a head of government who acted irresponsibly and possibly influenced others to act irresponsibly is directly reaping what he has sown.
Trump probably has it. Did you see him huffing and out of breath just a few minutes into his daily pseudo campaign speech that the administrator calls a briefing.
Nope, it will become more fodder for blaming the “Deep State”. Does the UK have Deep State conspiracy theorists? What do they call them over the pond?
And I read this week/last week that Britons with caravans (motor homes) were on the road to places like the Scottish highlands where there are few people. So spreading their fear and possible infections to all points of the island.
Hopefully they are mostly Tories as he is not in speaking terms with anyone else.
Another member of the Useful Idiot Party
If Trump has it, he’ll try to play through it until a hospital bed is required. He will not self-isolate or self-quarantine.
More likely that he’ll be in the 80% for mild/moderate. Karma can be rather fickle.
Although I’ve read the “moderate” can be damn rough.
Unfortunately, some are a tad more interested in that “inter-generational wealth transfer.” I hear some people are saying that, Sir!
C’mon, Donnie, are you going to let this tea and crumpet pansy beat you?
So fourteen days of his own personal Brexit then…
I agree with the sentiment of what you are saying, but people like Trump and Johnson don’t have a strategy except for me, me, and more me.
My sister posting a speech by Angela Merkel, and the comments were “that’s how a leader should talk,” and “she understands what’s going on”. Well Merkel is a trained scientist, and though virology was not her field of study she understands what the medical experts are saying. Hell I’m not a trained scientist and I can follow the medical talk.
So BoJo and Trump’s expertise is in self promotion, that’s the prism in which their lives are viewed and lived in. If they don’t understand something, then it’s wrong, or a hoax. I wonder where on the NPD scale Johnson falls?
