I told @theresa_may how to do that deal, but she went her own foolish way-was unable to get it done,” he tweeted. “A disaster!”

“Thank you, Mr. President!”

That last bit was for those remaining readers who’ve yet to acknowledge the obvious fact that Spanky is a fucking imbecile.

A brave stance.

But he cannot keep Darroch in place, even if Conservatives show unexpected good sense and pick him instead of the loathsome Boris Johnson (a man who makes Stanley Baldwin look good). An ambassador has to be able to represent the nation effectively, particularly with respect to the nation’s most important ally. Darroch can’t do that. No matter how much we might respect his honesty and frankness, he has to go.

“allies need to treat each other with respect as @theresa_may has always done with you.”

Explain it to him as though he were a child. When your mother pulls you aside at a social or family gathering and explains to you the faux pas you just committed, and explains the apology you’re about to go make.

(He still won’t get it, but you gotta try I guess)

He’s. Insane. Mr. President is insane.
We had to put my sweet Grandpa is assisted living for 1/3 the behavioral anomalies of this sick sick man…
He’s blaming the Brexit failure on May not taking his advice?
He’s. Insane. It’s not strategic marketing or politics. He’s. Insane.
Nothing but an intervention will stop this dangerous situation.

Dear MI6 and DI,

If we’re to preserve the special relationship that has prevented world war for the last seven decades, you will need to turn your considerable HUMINT and SIGINT resources on Trump and the GOP- and provide that to the American media organ of your choice.

Let’s not pretend you don’t spy on Americans; let’s just do it this time for the good of everyone.

Ever so Sincerely,
Your American Cousin

If he wins the leadership battle, then Hunt can retain Darroch as the ambassador, because his opponent is Donald Trump.

The Russians must have bellyaches from laughing so hard at us about now.

Someone will finally stand up to Trump - it could be Hunt. When it happens the whole tough guy facade will crumble.

So!

We’re to be allied with North Korea, Saudi Arabia and Russia in the coming war with Great Britain?

Is that about it?

Bullies such as Donald Trump are, by definition, disrespectful and wrong and undiplomatic. Reminiscent of the 2016 campaign when Trump was considered “lacking in the required temperament” to hold the office of President. Ah, the good ol’ days.

It’s all a setup. Nigel Farage and company screwed over the Ambassador. Donnie jumps in with his outraged, insulting ‘tweets’ and screams ‘YOU’RE NOT INVITED TO THE WH!’ and of course goes TOO FAR and includes everything but the kitchen sink in his tweets, LABOR in the UK chastises Donnie for being a d1ck and around and around it goes.

Dear American Cousin,

If you’ll remember we made a decision, sometime around December 2016, to aggressively vet whatever intelligence we might share with our American counterparts when we became keenly aware that we could no longer trust it remaining confidential.

As to our “special relationship,” while we’ve instructed all of our intelligence and law enforcement agencies to suspend freely sharing information with our American counterparts until further notice, that doesn’t mean we can’t still be friends.

Cordially,
MI6, DI and the entire British Intelligence apparatus

Drumpf predictably proved the ambassador’s point
That he is a thin skinned, petulant child who lashes out at any criticism and responds to flattery without any regards to whether his actions are in the best national interest.

His response is stupid, immature and reveals all of his weaknesses. The Ambassador didn’t say this to the press. It was leaked. Sensitive donnie must lash out publicly and rail against not only the Ambassador, but the PM. Next thing you know he will insult the Queen’s corgis.

So exhausting.

Does anyone else think that we might soon witness something like this?

Dear Col. Philby,

Despite our ship of state having run aground upon the reef of corruption, I guarantee you if you find something juicy enough the American media will run with it- especially if they know a competitor might also be about to break the story.

The goal now should be to bring down the apparatus that installed this mad man in this highest office in the land, however steep the price. We will survive just as you survived the black stain of the Opium Wars and the loss of your Empire. The ghost of Silas Deane demands it.

Now put on your most rousing rendition of ‘Men of Harlach’, think of England and pull the goddamn trigger.

Fond Regards,
Your American Cousin
