Fend for themselves? No power, and they’re not rolling blackouts, it’s power off, roads not cleared. How exactly are they to fend for themselves? Pile clothes in the middle of the living room and light them on fire for heat?

As an Okie I necessarily have a low opinion of Texans :). However, in my youth, I don’t remember the people of that region being so mean-spirited. A darkness has fallen over much of the U.S.
