I was coming to here to relate that The Onion let me peek into their time portal (they have only been running News From The Future for years) - and had found out the Trumpists ultimate position on COVID-19:
“We are all going to die anyway, so those who die this year don’t matter.”
But it looks like, with Dan Patrick asserting that “there are more important things than living” (i.e. helping other people make money), that my glimpse of the future is only going to be tomorrow’s headline.

If you support Trump, you end up quickly having to make the absurd, ridiculous arguments necessary to defend his madness. You look at Hugh Hewitt, the guy’s always setting him up for some easy explanation that’s halfway rational and Trump brushes it aside and says “I MEANT IT THE LOONY WAY.” Either that, or you’re an idiot who says crazy stuff yourself and don’t see what people are yelling about. But it’s one of those two things.
