Well I fucking knew two days ago. Read the news, people!

Who from Antifa is going to go to the absolute end of Texas?

I smell drama. I don’t like the smell of drama.

He was visiting the wall nearby. This extra jaunt into town to Four Seasons Alamo Car Rentals is what the mayor is griping about.

Somebody has to be setting up the venue and secret service has to have been doing advance work so…

It was all over the news. The City Republicons were probably all for the visit until it got real when businesses started announcing that they would stop funding collaborator Republicons.

Repeat and remember: ALL Republicons lie ALL the time.

He was adding fuel to the fire when he was leaving the WH talking to reporters, this impeachment is a witch hunt, people are mad about this, nothing about what he did on Wed.

As Collins would say, he’s clearly learned his lesson.

@grack, you really should delete that.

Alamo TX is almost exclusively Hispanics. The only whites there are snowbirds too poor to winter in Florida, let alone Palm Springs. And yes it’s the later that can get violent, but not with Trump who they adore.

I wonders if Trump is confusing Alamo, TX with the Alamo Mission in San Antonio?

Does he think The Alamo is in Alamo City?

Edit/ I see @mondfledermaus got there first.

They don’t get news in Alamo? Everybody else knew.

This is a version of Four Seasons Landscaping. Trump’s staff thinks he is going to THE Alamo, which is in San Antonio. Instead, he’s going to the tiny town of Alamo on the Texas-Mexican border.

Good on you deleting, that was iffy.

Yes, clearly learned the lesson and @grack was only a vague reference.

Type of post that gets attention these days. Guarantee that the feds are all over everything even possibly political this week.

Well, if Twitter hadn’t shut down his account he’d have been able to let them know he was on his way. There is, after all, no other form of communication, right?

(shrug) If the Alamo police aren’t able to provide protection, I guess Trump and his Secret Service folks are on their own.

Yeah, the city fathers of Alamo might have read about this in the “librul media”, but that’s not the same as an official White House contact and discussion of logistics. Why would they be assuming that something in the NY Times, WaPo, CNN and the like wasn’t just “fake news”? Don’t be too hard on them. After all, the village of Alamo might not be able to provide police protection (heh, heh) because of this failure in the White House travel office.

I didn’t know there was a town called Alamo down on the border before this myself.

This is so damn funny.

The article says that’s exactly what they did.

Salinas confirmed the lack of communication from the White House to NBC News, saying he learned of the visit from a local newspaper report.

The local peasantry probably had some reports of when the Mongols were approaching, too. Doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a friendly social call.

They have other worries in Alamo TX, the place is dirt poor, median income for a family is 24,827. There they worry on how to keep body and soul together and their daughters out of pregnancy.
