It’s like after the Iraq war went sour, WMDs weren’t found, and the coalition were not greeted as liberators. All the sorts of jackasses who insisted on changing the cafeteria menu to “freedom fries” suddenly “had not signed on for this” and “could not have seen this coming”. Puh-lease. Nothing in the past month has been atypical of the monster we first saw in the primaries of 2016 and nothing said now will absolve enablers, of the ignominy and contempt that they deserve.

Mulvaney came on to make a show of his minuscule contriteness.
Then Wallace called him using the heavily abstract and theoretical idea that Trump’s similar actions in the past indicate a pattern of behavior on Trump’s part. Mulvaney, not an abstract thinker, couldn’t understand that continuing to approve of Trump’s past crimes and misdemeanors revealed his resignation was not about principle, but about expediency. Poor Mick, a transparent opportunist to the end.
