I haven’t looked at Stillwater’s numbers, but they must be sobering to get them to pass a mask ordinance. The last time they tried that, people threatened retail employees with violence to the point that they rescinded it.

And off topic, but connected to Oklahoma: I just saw a local news story about a woman who threw boxes of shoes at a store employee because she was asked to put on a mask. She then left the store. The police have reported that they know who the woman is because she left her wallet behind.
This is why we can’t have nice things.

Abbott and Patrick should thank him. Because he did the dirty work for those cowards who weren’t planning on showing up anyway, but didn’t have the guts to actually call it off.
It couldn’t be clearer Patrick expects you to die for the economy, not he. Gone are the days where you could expect leaders to actually lead, at least on the Republican side. Now they’re there just to pull off a smash and grab.

Not like my kid who had to go back to work because if she didn’t she’d be fired and no more unemployment anyway. She took all possible precautions. And now sits at home for 7 long days waiting to find out if her symptoms are COVID, which they probably are. Receiving no pay and no unemployment. That’s what an open economy looks like.
Maybe some of the people who volunteered for COVID would like to pay her rent? Or any of the selfish asshats who wouldn’t wear a mask into her retail job would like to pay her rent?

My goddaughter was sick 3 weeks ago and it sure sounded like COVID but her test was negative. I’ll send you and your daughter good thoughts.

Last I heard, Bannon finally won his struggle with the Italian authorities over the building he wants to open his Nazi school in and he’s in Italy putting that together.

When the evidence - coming from every direction possible - says take precautions, DO NOT crowd into enclosed facilities, wear a mask, social distance … and you belligerently refuse to modify your plans … you willfully force your plan on innocent people - all for a demented feeding of your own ego.
When you deliberately do this - it is assault / attempted murder.

I wonder what overlap there is between people who:
- Don’t wear masks
- Strongly support Trump
- Believe the Covid reporting is overblown
- Attend large gatherings with maskless strangers
- Shoot video on their phones in portrait mode
That last one really annoys me. I think a part of your brain has to be defective to regularly do this. Literally everything we see on TV and movies is in landscape–including on their phones–yet they shoot video in portrait, because that’s how they use their phones.
