I think I’m getting really tired of this meme that if D’s make claims (even when accurate) it is wrong to say it. How many times have we heard TFG and Carlson say the feds were spying on them, calling insurrectionists patriots, calling whistleblowers traitors, calling political adversaries crooks (lock them up, hang them), saying liberals don’t love America and on and on. I don’t remember what the incident was but, my first thought was “you don’t make those kind of accusations without some shred of evidence in the public sphere.” The R’s have shown us that is another norm that they don’t follow. You can make up any crazy thing and defame someone with no significant pushback. When do we get our

Hmm. Maybe it is better to stop the fascists sooner rather than having to invade Europe in a D-Day landing again? Tucker missed his calling by a few generations, apparently. Yep, Tucker’s interviews and praise for Hitler would have made an interesting contrast with his criticizing Roosevelt for supporting the Allies against the Axis. “You must stop President Roosevelt’s interference in Germany’s 1000 year Reich plan, dear Furhrer fans!”

They do, but I think Tucker and many, many others are doing something simpler: They’re dreaming up the craziest, most outrageous lies they can think of to tell about the opposition, because time after time they’ve seen there’s simply no drawback. They’re assumed to be outrageous liars, so there’s no punishment for it, and their constituency is mind-bogglingly credulous and will believe literally anything, as we’ve seen with Qanon. It continues to be the post-truth era where objective reality (you know, pandemics and so forth) simply isn’t relevant to the discussion.

Why does Tucker Carlson hate America? He openly broadcasts this fact across the entire world. He preaches hatred of the US, and vehemently advocates its demise as a free country. He is a pariot’s idea of a traitor, and a traitor’s idea of a patriot. I don’t think Tucker wants to be an American anymore.

Good question. He has more income, assets, opportunity than most Americans but he doesn’t seem thankful he lives in a country that permits that to be.
