Trump's DOJ Moves To Drop Case Against Mar-a-Lago Records Cronies

Shattered. I think the word we need is “shattered,” as in, the Overton Window has shifted so far it slid right out of the window pane and shattered.

True, and very simple. It’s the courts which complicated the matter, making themselves complicit in the crime.

Nice job, John Roberts!

I wonder whether Trump and Musk will eliminate the Federal Reserve. The economic experience in Argentina has been very good. Might be worthwhile emulating on a pilot basis, at least.

I was raised to believe America is a nation of laws and not of men.

I don’t know that it ever really was, but we know for a fact it is not true now.

This suggests Eric Adams is using the most vulnerable people in New York City as currency in a quid pro quo with the President.

In pushing for the case to be dropped, Mr. Spiro has observed to department officials that Mr. Trump has criticized it, two of the people with knowledge said. The defense lawyer has also suggested that the mayor would not be inclined to cooperate with the president’s immigration crackdown if he remained under indictment, the people said

Hochul is a disaster. She should toss Adams out of office right now.

And then laugh while watching all this “we may just drop the charges” talk completely disintegrates.

Because the Biden Justice Department under AG Garland and SC Smith operated according to the law. The charges against Tr**ps cronies had to continue, because the evidence showed they were guilty as h*ll (so was the convicted felon but DOJ policy is not to indict a sitting President).

Those in power need to follow this precedent. DO NOT ever do the Orange POS dirty work for him. Make him own every criminal action he commits. The law may not be able to arrest him but the voters can show how they feel about this in the upcoming elections.

Their frustration over people knowing their rights (like this woman) is going to mount quickly and scenes like this one are going to start going very very very wrong…

You’re never getting the toothpaste back in the tube with this one. Sure, you can say, “Well, with legislation…” but that is not going to happen.

No, it does not. But they won’t prosecute, and trump can pardon.

What makes anyone believe that Trump won’t order people to shred/burn/disappear documents? The Supreme Court gave him a lot of cover to do just that.

But still. Isn’t there also a mandate to send a copy to the National Archives? Copies should exist in hard copy and/or digital electronic. As if a copy is not in the great beyond that is the cloud.

Embarrassing ICE and making Trumps round up look both cruel and inept is a good play.
