That’s it, then. If Billy Barr personally reviewed the videos and claimed everything is on the up and up, then there’s nothing to see here. After all, Billy’s never been caught in a lie.
Ben Nimmo’s interview on the Lawfare podcast yesterday breaks down the traditional four-prong disinformation strategy used by the Soviets and others.
Dismiss: Ad hominem attack on the source of the information. That drunk? That loser?
Distort: Add or change facts to make your argument winnable.
Distract: Whataboutism.
Dismay: Now look what you’ve done! I never wanted to cut you up with a bone saw. Why couldn’t you just play nice like everybody else?
I f*ucking dare him to go after Dr. Fiona Hill. She would slice and dice him ten ways to Sunday.
Unfortunately, it dovetails nicely with all his aggrieved followers. They have to wait in a damn lines at the 7/11! Behind POC! And women! It takes too long to get their Double Gulps! Cigarettes cost too much!
Today’s the 56th anniversary of the assassination of JFK. From today’s unhinged rant against dedicated career professionals you almost wish for Trump to take his golf cart on a motorcade ride.
So make the tapes available for examination by Epstein’s lawyers’ experts.
ah but its only his base that needs to think it was ukraine and not the russians in 16’ , and the russian will do the rest…in 2020
Where’s fucking Anonymous? Screw him/her!
We are in a vastly better position than the position of some of the people I would cheerfully say “So long!” to as I board a plane headed for the U.S.
If I were a drill sergeant. I’d tell us:
“This sack of garbage is on his last legs. His mental illness and Roy Cohn training will make him talk and act five days before he is removed the same as five months before removal. He’s an Ad-man. A hustler. A Mob Boss. He has been doing this all his life. He would not be saying any of this if he were not terrified.”
(One last thing that the drill sergeant might not say: Trump is severely mentally ill. It is America’s misfortune that, at this juncture, it does not help with the mentality of people fighting him. Some of us want (and NEED) something from him that indicates we are getting to him (like as is the case with ordinary people). We will not get it from this guy. In his mind HE ALWAYS WINS…and, I dare say, that this is one of the reasons that the numbskulled GOPers in Congress are still under his spell. GOPers in Congress have never encountered ANYONE like Trump.)
Yes. I wish she could run for president.
And the cashiers either don’t speak English, or they speak broken English with confusing accents.
I just read the story about him absolving the discipline against the Navy Seal who posed with a desecrated corpse of an enemy combatant. Absolutely despicable and disgusting.
As I said in another post, it’s exactly what Trump would say about a black man unnecessarily killed by the police for a minor infraction, like selling cigarettes on a sidewalk corner. It’s deflection.
It’s all so bizarre I’m not sure what it is. Deflection is the most obvious answer but Trump has stated he takes everything personally and also has stated he thinks that’s a good thing. So maybe everything he responds to is simply deflection without being motive driven. I can’t even express what I’m attempting to say.
And then there’s Dr. Hill’s testimony yesterday, body slamming Republican’s and their conspiracy theories while at the same time expressing sympathy for Trump, saying sweet things about the hurtful attacks the mean Democrats were saying about him in 2016. Did he selectively parse that out from his trashing of Holmes and Yovanovitch this morning?
Workings of a mad man is my best answer.
Trump’s cognitive decline seems to have reduced his already limited (by intellectual curiosity, lack of reading, minimal formal education, mental health issues) vocabulary to that of his early life. He uses phrases common to the 1950’s, when he would have been 5-15 years old. Not uncommon.
Dr. Hill would smack him around with his own tiny little hands.
But it was good politics for Hill to cluck a bit over Trump’s times of troubles. She decimated him at all other points. She is a consummate diplomat, an absolute pro.
Speaking of Thanksgiving, can you imagine being at a table with tRump? Well, if it’s his family, they deserve it!
One can hope that Trump’s obvious disrespect for the lawful processes of the US armed forces will prompt many of their members to vote against him next year. He’s thumbed his nose at the Army and the Navy within the past 7-10 days. The best, and perhaps only, means by which they can protest Trump’s disrespect and interference is with their votes.
Essentially violating the UCMJ and undermining the order and discipline in the military because his TV Fox friend told him to.
Haven’t heard of any from the Senate and that is what we need.
