guess they should recall that the second amendment is universal, and lot’s of people own guns, not just fascists
These are delusional, paranoid people; scary and angry, but not capable of overthrowing the government, no matter how grandiose they are. Still, unlessl we crack down on them, they will threaten and sometimes commit violence against other (unarmed) citizens, churches and malls.
And Barr is in foreign countries drumming up support.
They’re just taking the same tactic they’ve taken with everything else.
Bunch of commenters are going to discover that the “impeachment” label doesn’t have that magic fairy-dust effect of just making this administration comply.
They’ll probably end up having to vote on impeachment with what we know on Ukraine (thanks, Trump!, for releasing the case against yourself!), plus obstruction for all of this shit.
Please. I refuse to be afraid of these people. Flat out refuse. These trash life mongrels are afraid to go to downtown Louisville. These fools can barely manuever themselves through the aisles of Kroger. Plus, I don’t know if they’ve noticed, but the hood’s got guns too and they aren’t afraid to shoot. So, in the last words of Stringer Bell, “Get on with it, mother fu…”
Yeah, but these so-called Oath Keepers have supposedly sworn an oath to the Constitution, yet they’re referring to the Constitutionally valid process of impeachment as “some illegal move to remove [Dump] from [the] presidency.”
Which Americans are going to be the first that they criminals shoot?
Isn’t it Ironic? A little bit ironic.
They will never see the drone that wipes them out.
Careful what you wish for Trump…
You may be the first casualty of a civil war
And any of them that are actually still in the military and not veterans are going to get quick lessons in non-judicial punishment.
There are only fantasy scenarios where the military runs around doing things and ginning up a civil war.
Drop and give me …
What the hell, just drop.
and I feel you just pointed out a flaw in putin’s logic to engage in this.
Is it a good idea to destabilize the government of the world’s largest military/economy/nuclear armed nation?
My instinct says no.
A war against whom? Are they going door to door and checking to see if I have a labradoodle?
But let me throw this hypothesis out there:
There’s been a whole lot of discussion about the military’s love affair with Trump. He was going to take care of them. He was going to do right by them. As a voting bloc, they tended to go GOP over Dem (and that might’ve been because HRC, but Lord knows why).
So to your point about the military doing their job and oaths to the Constitution, is there not a good chance they may come out in favor of the Pres?
This whole thing bothers me, the love affair of military and Trump, given that he’s taken money from their programs and generally not treated them well (support the troops, my left cheek), but they’re still in his corner.
Then there’s this that says it might be slipping, but it’s still pretty high:
Having the focus be on Trump tamps down the possibility of ‘civil war’. He’s just some dumb fake rich dude at the end of the day. It’s the rhetoric of demographic change that motivates the shooters. So given what we have, Trump making it about his own corruption helps the Dems and lowers the risk of innocent people getting shot.
Sure, there would be/ are individuals, but the military is rather good at rooting out extremists and dealing with them. If you had people agitating for a fight, they would find themselves in hot water and legal problems very quickly.
Tofu and other soy products.
Large target. Easy to hit.
You’re right. However, in the courts which will have to hear the complaints, there’s more gravitas and more legality with an official impeachment inquiry. But yes, it’ll still be a slog.
