Trump Walks Back Huge Goal For Tests After His Own Testing Chief Said It Was Impossible

“Giroir told TIME that ‘there is absolutely no way on Earth, on this planet or any other planet, that we can do 20 million tests a day, or even 5 million tests a day’.”

Trump is depleting our nation’s Strategic Adderall Reserve at an alarming rate.

Donnie hasn’t realized that testing capacity isn’t the same as his properties’ values.

When this is paired with the abominable decision in Iowa to demand workers to get back to production in highly unsafe conditions…the callousness is fiendish to the extreme.

So what? He has been doing this for nearly 4 years now. Nothing has changed. We are a deranged country.

Cut him a little slack. Clearly he meant 5 million coronavirus daily briefings.

Seems like it, doesn’t it?

Sounds to me like it’s more of demanding meat packers back to work rather than allowing. I don’t believe the slaughter house workers want to go back into those hellscapes until they are given adequate PPE and safety procedures. But they will go back or lose their unemployment right?

You are correct. I phrased it wrong. Not only that, it is as you say, w/r/t unemployment benefits.

There should be some lawsuits on this one.

Just think of the bigly job creation potential for all those poor redneck whiteboys who’ve been dying to get a crack at working at a meat-packing plant, but always lose out to those non-whitey’s…

You’ve got to admit that the Admiral has the rare ability in this administration to state something clearly. There is no misunderstanding that statement.

Somebody is facilitating testing in places where it’s in dire need:

Rep Al Green’s district includes Sunnyvale, one of the more economically vulnerable and majority AA neighborhoods in Houston. Sunnyvale has been hit harder by the virus than most areas of the Metro Houston area.

“I didn’t say 5 million,” Trump said, despite the fact that he had said exactly that the day before.

He never heard of recorded video.

Come on people. Can’t you tell he was being SARCASTIC? Get with the program.

Nevertheless, here’s what a recent study says:

So either Trump ramps up quickly to testing between 5 and 20 million per day – which his own team clearly doubts he can do – or his “re-opening” the economy any time soon is going to kill a lot of (additional) people.
