I’m a long time dog lover. Each pup is unique but I have found some things that work with dogs. If the pup shows intelligence then watch and learn from them. My dog Murphy ( my avatar here) was a Red Tick Coonhound. She taught me about good behavior at a local dog park. When a dust up occured between two dogs she’d get between the potential combatants and seemed to say “ok, ya really wanna go there?” And 99.9% of the time peace broke out. She earned her title “Queen of the Park”.
Show your dog lots of affection. Be forgiving (to a point). Teach Odin some commands like “sit” and “stay”, when Murphy was a young pup we taught her to do her “business” outside by having her sleep in a dog crate over night and then first thing hustle her out side. When she “did it” she got lots oof praise. And a tasty treat. It took all of 2 days for her to figure it out.

Try your best to not yell at your pup. Never ever use physical punishment. I mean hitting. Praise works way better and disapproval can be a glance if the dog is smart.
He should be forced to go outside the courthouse.

My dog Murphy and me were best buds. She liked riding shotgun in my Tacoma pick up. We’d go in our local hardware store. The folk there knew her. She was well behaved and didn’t need a leash tho I kept it handy. She was also welcomed in our grocery store because they knew she would not make a fool of herself.
With time and effort the same can happen for you and Odin. And dogs of any age can learn.
