Trump Tries To Flatter Judge Cannon On TV As She Decides Whether To Postpone His MAL Trial

Former President Donald Trump seemed to be trying to flatter his way out of part of his ongoing legal troubles by praising Judge Aileen Cannon — the U.S. District judge from Florida overseeing Jack Smith’s Mar-a-Lago classified documents case — during a Fox News interview Sunday.

The very definition of “wheedling”.

There is no longer a security threat?

So Trump has returned all the missing sensitive documents? Or at least put them somewhere else than an unsecured bathroom?

If Judge Cannon cannot see through this claim she is in the tank for Trump.

“I know it’s a very highly respected judge. A very smart judge, and a very strong judge,” Trump said of Cannon when asked if he thinks the judge will grant his request to postpone his trial.

I guess “presumably pliable” doesn’t fit with the self-image Donnie unctuously appeals to; although, it’s gotta be there, between the lines, or he wouldn’t be so oleaginous.
In the age of Clarence Thomas, though, this might also be read as ‘cheap,’ trying to get with talk what usually comes with an all expenses paid vacation (maybe to meet and greet tfg’s lawyers.)

The instant she rules against him, she will become a horrible judge that he should never have appointed.

Trump makes Eddie Haskel look positively genuine.

As Lucy Van Pelt said… “What an asshole”.

Immediately after the smallest thing does not go his way:

She was weak, no account, bad recommendation, very poor, conspiracy.

Tfg continues: “Barely educated in the law, probably from affirmative action, a very poor pick for a federal judge and more loyal to Hugo Chavez than to our nation. Why we let such an unpatriotic woman serve in the great state of Florida…” (ed.)

He is completely deluded. He thinks he is still President, he thinks he’s very handsome and in excellent physical shape and that he’s very intelligent. Wrong on every single count. He also believes he can win the White House again. That can not happen.

I wonder if “it” is one of Cannon’s pronouns.

Need A Ray Epps Primer?

Normally, I don’t have any sympathy for MAGAts who get hoist on their own petard, but I’ll make an exception for Ray Epps. While it seems he did get caught up in the mob, it looks like when it came down to the barricades, he had a change of heart and started trying to talk down the people around him.

But then the insurrectionists, trying to find a scape goat, fixated on video of him and began pushing a conspiracy theory about him. Now he and his wife have to live in hiding.

I get that finding the perpetrators of anonymous death threats is difficult, but I’m not seeing a significant push by DoJ to go after this kind of stuff.

Trump is the No. 1 threat to national security we face today - by a large margin. Not only does he potentially hold the unaccounted for classified National Security documents the NARA and FBI did not recover, he incited an insurrection against the United States. I hope Smith and the DoJ have the stones to just come out and state it, if Judge Cannon decides to postpone the documents trial past Dec. 2023.

The vulgarian is corrupt all the way down to his tiny hands.

Good lord, this is a bit over the top.

“But she’s very smart and very strong, and loves our country,” Trump added. “We need judges that love our country so they do the right thing.”
