Trump To Hold Campaign-Style Rallies To Keep Sowing Doubt On Election Defeat With Bogus Fraud Claims

President Donald Trump is reportedly has another gambit in the works to magnify his unfounded accusations that the election, which he lost to Democratic challenger Joe Biden last week, was “stolen” from him via election fraud: Going back to holding his beloved rallies.

I think commenters are missing what Trump may be up to. His refusal to concede is ascribed to various motivations. Inability to accept loss. Motivating his base. Laying the groundwork for him and others to never accept Biden as Prez.
I think these rallies have another purpose. Generate enough doubt for Red states to have cover to send a slate of electors to the Electoral College that will defy the majority vote Biden received in their state.

Let’s hope he does. It’s not a winning strategy. I hope the fool keeps it up. It’s no good for the GOP and 2 GOP’ers are now in a run off in Georgia. So lets hope he keeps this shit up until January 20 and brings the entire GOP house down.

Show his strength and the numbers of his fans … and rile up those fans to swarm state capitals with their guns.

Market futures were up over 400 points until this morning when Pfizer’s news hit. Futures are up over 1,400
points now. Everything is up nicely.
Oil and copper rebounding.

That’s been speculated on by the MSM but it would cause a political revolution in the country if it went down. I don’t think any state wants to become a pariah in America and suffer that. It would render Trump’s second term illegitimate and put an end to “rule of law” and “Constitution” platitudes.

Oh, I see, they finally are getting around to Infrastructure week. The infrastructure of the campaign’s legal bills is attenuating.

Rallies, schmallies.
These events will die after January 20th, when Donnie has to start footing the bill.
They’re not gonna change shit before that.
In the meantime, they’re not newsworthy: samo.
ETA: maybe the Biden administration will be good enough to recoup their cost to the taxpayer from Donnie’s campaign.

There’s a reason major vaccines typically to 5-10-15 years to perfect and bring to market. Pharma and the FDA want to be sure there aren’t nasty side effects down the road, complications that only manifest themselves after tens of thousands of test subjects have lived for many years after receiving the vaccine.
Gonna be a major shitstorm if 150 million people take a vaccine that after 5 years is discovered to cause multiple sclerosis, or bladder cancer, or rheumatoid arthritis.

Personally, I am mildly (and tentatively) pleasantly surprised at how the major media (uncharacteristically, I might add . . .) are handling the post-election analysis. “Biden won” is the straightforward message. No mock-serious thumb-sucking about a “disputed” election or taking Republican claims at face value. Yes, I’m sure you can cite outliers; I’m talking about the overall effect. At least so far; I reserve judgment for the possibility that things could change if circumstances get sticky.

Agree/disagree?

How much of Trump’s and his family’s (two sons’ and daughter’s) efforts are driven by attempting to develop an exit strategy that protects them from legal investigations/trials when they leave the Office? Not a great strategy, but what else can they do? I guess we’ll find out. Just wondering on top of the myriad of other possible reasons…

Also, ever since reports came out a month ago about Ivanka’s $750,000 consulting fee deposit from her father, she has simply vanished. I can understand Eric’s concerns to stay in power as he was deposed in the NY fraud inquiry about a month ago as well. Interesting to see how that develops.

Wow, I simply will not miss this garbage. Serious times require serious people, and the Trump grifters just simply aren’t.

Great, just what we need, he is going to hold another round of superspreader events.

What should we do about Russian election interference?
Chump: Rally
How about Melania leaving you?
Chump: Rally!
COVID at highest levels, gatherings possibly to blame…
Chump: Rally!
Election has been called, rallies will be utterly worthless
Chump: Rally?

I don’t care about excuses of why he is doing this… it is like talking about that one guy who is an ass and is continually excused by those around as “oh, he’s just a jerk ha ha”.

Trump is flat out sabotaging our country. He is a traitor.

I think he is doing it for fundraising purposes, he doesn’t give a shit how many people he infects, they need the money. The fine print in the fundraising letters has the nut of it.

We need two interventions.

  1. Somebody has to tell Trump that this is a stupid idea.

  2. Somebody needs to tell TPM that America is moving on from Trump. This is not a headline above the fold story. We really want to hear more about the Biden cabinet and how he intends to deal with the Senate.

Additionally, they would be on incredibly shaky ground.

Because to say that rampant fraud existed in the election, they have to declare ALL to elections on the ballots invalid. Which includes most of their own elections.

And, to even pull that off, they have to have a republican majority in the legislature AND a republican governor. PA, for example, doesn’t have that. So in PA, they would have to overturn a law (passed by state legislature…important little fact for all the nonsensical crap about state legislatures have the say so), pass a new law AND get a Democratic governor to sign it. All while also declaring themselves unelected, and forcing another election cycle for the entirety of the rest of the ballot on the taxpayers and voters.

That’s a whole lot of heavy lifting that I don’t think any state legislations are seriously considering. AZ and GA have the necessary prerequisites, but given how close their elections were, it would be political suicide for the GOPers there.

I think local governments will find the nerve to ban rallies, if they choose. Trump’s a lake duck-- nothing to fear

I would like to see all the places that Chump stiffed over the last 5 years get going on collecting their debts. I would like to think any place he chooses to hold a rally is going to be sparse on towns that want to incur any more million dollar hits to their economies so this infectious weasel can shame and humiliate their area…again.
