Eight years ago the spouse and I and a friend visited Montpelier, the home of of the Father of the Constitution, James Madison. We were able to visit the family cemetery and personally apologize to President Madison for electing a man who has disgraced the office he once held. We also bought a bottle of champagne at Barboursville Winery to drink in 2021 (which we did).

Prediction - this might be the last time Trump is seen in public, or at least heard speaking in public. My guess is that his handlers are going to do everything they can to keep him away from a mic from now on, and limit him to angry Tweets and Truths from now on.

For my long term sanity, I’m trying to stay healthy, centered, and focused on long term projects.
Since last week I’ve been listening and re-listening to Italo Calvino’s If on a Winter’s Night a Traveler.
It’s a great book to play while sleeping.

Ha. No longer my concern, but it is a holiday in any case. But here this event might have delayed opening by a couple of hours but would not likely have caused cancellation, since the storm was over by about 4:00 AM.
