Incredible that people of Portland need calm reassurance in the United States of America.
See, the federal government is showing up for unknown purposes. So, there may be an increase in masked men or gangs of men, maybe in uniform or not, probably not saying anything, but well armed or maybe just liking to hit.
The worst part is they’re here to help.

That is what I thought it was referencing. But 83 Billion? Via $1000 checks? There are only 740K+ people in the state. Numbers do not make sense to me.

It seems as if the fund holds a lot of money and disperses ~ $1k checks each year.
Wiki says it was $69B in 2019, so not hard to think $83B now.
But apparently doesn’t disperse all each year.
