If he concedes, the money train from his supporters will stop for a moment because there will be no pending litigation to reclaim his rightful victory. Of course, once the indictments start, he can expect a pretty penny in his account for lawyers to protect him from the obviously partisan criminal prosecutions.

for me the rich irony is that McConnell through his ratfuckery is the only R who has completely delivered on a core issue, the judges. He’s the only one who has accomplished a substantive win on behalf of the trumpies and fundies and yet he too will have his head on a poke.

McConnell and the far right used Trump as a front to enact their agenda. Trump served as deflection for them. Now, they want to distance themselves from him as he has outlived his usefulness. They also want to discredit him (but not his base) so he has no voice in the Republican Party going forward. They got their tax cuts, their conservative judges, etc, and now need to eliminate Trump’s voice. They did this at the expense of approximately 175,000 US citizens who unnecessarily died because of Trump’s political games with covid-19. But what do they care - they are alive and have enacted their agenda. Time for people to push back - hard. We need an open discussion of what was done and its consequences. But my guess is politics will win out and no one will want to rock the boat. Meanwhile, we have an increasing number of dead to bury.

I have a nincompoop here in town that is at the top of the Mary Kay pyramid scheme. Her rather large Victorian-style house is pink, her car is pink, her RV (a rather large one) is pink. I don’t know the woman, but pink is it for her.
She’s got enormous Trump signs and a flag in front of her house. Yeah, she loves Trump.

That’s one thing that seems to have evaporated. We’ve had quite a few of those around here, including a week or two after the election, a small rally of supporters on the bridge locally here where everyone does their events to protest or support. Not seeing that anymore either, but that could have a great deal to do with the fact that it hasn’t gotten above 22 degrees any day this week.
