Trump Taps Retired Navy Admiral As New DNI

If Burr really is upset, he has a lot of power to get his way. IF

He is currently in a Senate confirmed position in the DNI’s office.

Not sure if he is a compromised tool like Ratcliffe, or if he is just ‘next man up’ cause Trumpie had some grievance with Gordon.

I don’t know anything about Maguire, except that the Admiral must be either a pedophile, sex-trafficker, or rock stupid. Perhaps all 3. But no honorable man is nominated by this administration.

he is seen as at least a more reasonable choice than Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-TX)

WARNING — EXTREMELY LOW BAR

A chocolate Labrador would be seen as a more reasonable choice than Rep. John Ratcliff (R-TX).

“Honorable” is used to address those in presidentially nominated and Senate confirmed positions, which he currently is.

All your questions about how to use “the Honorable” are answered here:

Nah. I like good story more than accurate ancient history. As my daddy use to say, “It tells well.”

Are you referring to Pence or Putin? Not that either is making plans that are good for the country .

Something must be off about this guy. Otherwise Trump wouldn’t have picked him. He needs to immediately testify under oath to Congress.

That is a really stupid post. I don’t like Trump a nor the way he is hollowing out the intel community top leadership. But to say this about a person you don’t know and have no evidence to support your unfounded claims about him is absurd.

“I an honored to receive the nomination of an unfit racist,” Mr. Maguire later said, “and I look forward to ending my career with squandered goodwill and in professional tatters.”

Like Brett Kavanaugh, right? Because everyone else in this administration been a sterling example of integrity, truth, valor and such, right? Crone is merely playing the averages here. Like shooting fish in a barrel.

MoscowMitch isn’t doing anything to stop it.

It’s a real shame that the price of feeding Trump’s ego is that we have to throw away a 30-year career and hard-won respect. I guess her career got in the way of the President’s plans.

Republican misrule at it’s finest. This, by the way, is what all those mouth-breathing Ayn Rand adherents think of when they imagine the evils of non-libertarianism: that an exceptional person with qualifications will be swept aside by the petty whims of a “taker.”

The irony would be delicious if I didn’t have to share a planet with these vapid fuckwits.

No. There were credible allegations against Kavanaugh.

Who on tRump’s team thought to go full speed ahead with “acting” positions? It wasn’t the stable genius as he still shows he has no clue how government should work. A behind the scenes evil genius??

I thought DNI couldn’t be an “Acting” position?
