Due to USPS budget cuts and the ongoing pandemic, USPS will not be collecting mail from drop off receptacles in urban areas through November 10, 2020. Post office locations in these areas will also be closed.

Trump’s continued existence on this Planet makes sense in the sense that he is exposing (1) a Gigantic Faultline in American culture and (2) the ease with which mass propaganda can exacerbate it.
Trump was/is successful at that.
Now it’s time to heal and move on. That faultline was here when people were fawning over Mean Joe Greene in the coke commercial. FOX just hustled it.

Certainly legislative solutions will be difficult, but don’t underestimate the impact of the appointment power. Most of the damage Trump has done has been through his control of appointments, and much of the fixing will have to be through the same process.

I’d like to be me more optimistic than I am, but I’ve been to this movie before. Trmump’s approval numbers still hover around 43%. If that gets degraded down into Chris Christie - like numbers (<20%), I’ll feel better about the future.

So postal rates for Amazon go up by a factor of four. Do you think this comes out of Jeff Bezos’s pocket? No way - buyers are charged. Can Trump selectively raise rates for one (1) single individual company while keeping everybody else’s rate the same? Doubtful; sounds like a Bill of Attainder. So ALL rates go up by 4x. Who pays? Us, as usual. The same folks as who are paying for those glitzy “Stimulus” checks with Trump’s scrawl across them.

“Move on”? Seriously? We can’t just “move on”, as Democrats have been doing for the last 70 years. The guilty must be identified, tried and punished. If there’s no penalty, the Republican Party considers it a win.
