President Donald Trump channeled his Tuesday night rage at three Republicans who have announced, or are considering, a primary run against him.

So nice to see our pResident engaged with the serious problems the country and the world are facing.

Ha. It takes one to know three.

Admittedly anyone challenging Trump as a Republican will be deeply flawed and vulnerable to this behavior. Because they are Republicans.

Their campaigns will be typified by “My malfunction is not as bad as his malfunction” debating.

I“I should be able to take them!”

Well, what do you know, your tax returns show that Russian oligarchs co-signed your Deutsche Bank loans. And you are sliding very quickly into full-blown dementia. You will not be on the ticket in 2020.

Droves of people left the Republican Party, causing Trump’s favorability among those who remained to be high.

“The Three Stooges” will appeal to those who left.

I heard this on Lawrence O’Donnell last night but haven’t heard one word about it this morning. You’d think someone else would have picked it up by now. I hope it’s true and starts getting some air time pretty soon.

Again, for me, the most grating thing about Chump in the High Seat is having someone so twisted and perverse and sick calling balls-N-strikes on other’s behavior. One of the most debased criminals we have ever documented in this country…basically being the head of our legal and criminal government organs. Or having Chump weigh in on other people’s marriages or sex lives. To have him even NEAR a religious ceremony or partaking in anything sacred…let alone trying to make any call-outs to the faithful risks the wrath of The Almighty. And now, again, him trashing folks who have basic decency levels that are MILES above his utter lack of any decency.

Chump racks up more black marks and failures in one week than any of these people’s lifetimes.

So he criticizes these guys for…

  1. cheating on a spouse and creating a transparently obvious lie to cover it up (too many examples to choose just one from the Serial Adulterer in Chief))
  2. had a notorious failure in his chosen career (How many bankruptcies/ How much Cabinet turnover/lost lawsuits/etc.?)
    and
  3. can’t “stand up straight” when receiving an award (says Mr. “Clutch the Podium”)

Lately, at his rallies, he’s also been doing an extended riff on a well-known W. C. Fields bit, and handing out individually-wrapped hard candies.

Why, it’s just blasphemous…how dare the Three Stooges go against our Dear Criminal Leader!

I assumed we wouldn’t hear anything more about it—yet—given that Lawrence said this was a single source telling him this. Ordinarily if some guy said he heard from a single source something of this nature I wouldn’t give it much credence. But O’Donnell is a serious guy with a lot of credibility. Let’s see if the media can further verify this claim.

Bad reasons? Like having sex with a porn star and paying her off?

Pot, call kettle.

I hope it’s not a planted story to kill a career, but I agree that O’Donnell is usually pretty serious and careful.

Especially if it was an outlier—like Jacob Wohl accusing Mueller of some sleazy impropriety, a wildly unreliable source making an accusation that would be wildly out of character for the accused. But this fits everything we know about Trump’s world. And it’s not lurid, like something you’d make up. It’s corrupt but in a businesslike way, if that makes sense.

Its making the rounds pretty heavily this morning on twitter. It still seems to be anonymously sourced, but everyone seems to be indicating its a pretty solid anonymous sourcing.

I think a lot of the media is waiting for confirmation, as they are worried about getting too far ahead of the skis.

Thing is, we already know that Russian oligarchs were funneling money into Trump’s pocket through real estate purchases in huge excess of appraised values. So is there that big of a difference between guaranteeing a loan for $100 million, or simply buying a $50 million property for $100 million to give him the money to act as the guarantee? We know that Trump was indebted to Russian oligarchs.

The big issue here would be…such a deal would be DB involved in money laundering and violating sanctions on Russian oligarchs from doing business with US entities. So really bad for DB, and confirmation of another layer of Russian owning Trump.

Here is another thing to mark down as “not normal”:

Having 3 primary challengers against a sitting President. Having one is extremely rare…but having three??
