Trump Suggests He’s Blocking USPS Emergency Funds To Hamper Mail-In Voting | Talking Points Memo

Maybe “assist” is too strong, but there is certainly a disparate impact of the policies geographically in that higher population areas with more mail and more mail-in ballots will obviously suffer under them more than red rural areas where the policies likely have little impact.

Trump Suggests He’s Blocking USPS Emergency Funds To Hamper Mail-In Voting

It is rather amazing given the level of transparency he projects. He really is remarkably unintelligent. “Watch me shoot myself in the foot!”

I think the AG under the Biden administration is going to be very busy for a very long time driving all these criminals into prison. This goes well beyond the USPS. The corruption is likely in every department and agency now.

That’s a guess and depending on TLP’s ongoing reach, there’s no real way of knowing if the area is again voting for DJT.

Yep…all they have to do is correlate their voter and districting research with the USPS’s operations.

If so, whoever is in the rural parts (coal towns included) will leak it.

It’s good to be King … or wannabe dictator.

If there’s something to leak, it’s already too late.

It’s not what they know, and there is definitely no master plan. It is in everyone’s interests in the White House and GOP to build a bubble around Trump; one that excludes the reality of how bad his polling is, and how much of a failure his administration’s response to the pandemic has been. That’s how they keep their jobs and the grifting rolling in. At least until the election.

There’s a politico article today that gets into it. Here’s the money quote regarding the pandemic status, which explains everything in a nutshell:

“I would say that they are comparing things to where they were previously,” said a senior Republican close to the White House. “When you compare a disaster to an outright disaster, the disaster does not seem so bad.”

It would also require individual “orders” to individual post offices. Too much of a paper trail.

You know, this is a very inefficient way to steal an election. Especially when the plans are blurted out in front of God and everybody. The shamelessness is so blatant, that, in the end, it may just be more straightforward for Trump to just dissolve the constitution and government and have done with it.

Any president who would go to these lengths is just one or two steps away from doing just that. Let’s watch what he does as things continue to fall apart for him.

The leaks are already coming, depending on the month (October would be cutting it close), the slow drips will turn into an inevitable torrent.

Wait until September comes, and the Social Security checks are late. Those of us with elderly relatives who don’t trust that direct deposit thing know exactly what will happen. They’ll call each other to see if they got their check, and then they’ll call us.
Be ready with a reason why. Doubtless there’ll be a FoxNews reason blaming unions, Pelosi, and George Soros.

And so we’ll all be fully informed of how they’re stealing the election while we watch it all happen in real time without any way of stopping it.

That remains to be seen

With each passing day, it is more likely that I will choose in-person voting in Wisconsin in November

True, but the Fascist Five will rule that the Postermaster General is well within his rights and powers and/or that to the extent there is anything illegal taking place, it is DOJ’s job, not the Courts’, to suss it out and do something about it.

Can’t wait for the piles and piles of “lost” and deliberately delayed votes start getting found on November 4th…it’s gonna be a real hoot…

What @ncsteve said. Rachel had the story last night. Despite written policies to the contrary, Trump’s stooge Postmaster General has ordered Postal Service employees to treat political mail like bulk rate mail, which means it will not be forwarded, will be handled slowly at best, and may never be delivered at all. That is, unless states pay considerably more for postage than in the past, which — as Donnie proudly declared — they can’t afford to do.

GOPers working to plan. One drop box for all of Cleveland. Many more for rural areas.
