However it goes, and I still think Biden wins, it will be the death knell for traditional polling methods. Too many people are scattered on communication methods that can’t be polled. I don’t have a land line phone and don’t know anyone else who has one, and I’m an old fart. I never answer a number I don’t recognize on my cell phone.

The fact that this isn’t a blowout is a really bad omen. If Biden squeaks out a victory and if the Senate squeaks out a Democratic majority, and there aren’t massive democracy reforms, we’re pretty much fucked going forward. Any gains will be erased by the next autocratic wannabe who grabs on to power.

The people who vote against their own best interests aren’t going to reflect much. They’ve had their chance.
Think of the situation we’re in as being caused by a very few people, the wealthy of dark money.
It’s they and their efforts that must be countered. That won’t take reflection. It’ll require a carefully crafted, long term strategy by the savviest among us.
